I brought this camera to replace my Canon PowerShot SX730 HS that was stolen. All the features are there and very familiar to me. The 40 optical zoom came in really handy while I was on the African safari trip. IIt is still difficult to capture fast moving object with this camera. Overall a great camera for this price range and size.

I had to take back my Sony a6000 for overheating. I ended up getting this, had no idea it was a new camera. I got it more video but both video and photos are very good, and the best part this does 4k! I was not going to spend a lot of money for a 4k just yet, but when I picked it up at the store that is when I found out. If you looking for something under $500 this is the two go.

It is a great camera and does what it needs to do for the price. The only drawback is that it does not shoot in raw format, other than that it is great for travel photos.

I use this camera daily and found it to be a great travel camera. However, lens seems to be not too fast so I will need a pro camera for serious shots and video.

Extremely excellent point and shoot for the price. Takes quality shots, the zoom is amazing, the 4k video is such a plus I'm very happy with this I wanted to start my photography journey with this point and shoot then move up to Dslr, Icle or mirrorless but also wanted a quality in my pocket quick point and shoot I got that and more with this camera I'm very pleased. As a beginner I'm already taking some great shots with this point and shoot.

Good camera for the price. My first unit failed on 2nd use. Found a Best Buy nearby on my trip and got a replacement without any hassles. Second camera works fine. Image quality is good. Buy an extra battery, camera case and memory. You're going to need it.

My first camera purchase in 15 years, so I did my research. I think the Canon - PowerShot SX740 HS is by far the best camera for the money. Great still photos, wonderful video, and transfer capability out the wazoo. Great compact size for travel and zoom is terrific for a small point and shoot camera. I would recommend purchasing a second battery for those sightseeing days when everything is to your liking. The "flip-up" view screen is very bright and clear, but I would like to see more agility from the view screen. It is a great vlogging camera, but for those of us who won't be using it as a video diary camera, a nice tilt/swivel screen (especially in bright light conditions) would be great. I really love this camera!

I cant say enough oodf about this camera. Out of the box its an excellent YouTube videos, with supplied lenses. Comes with a very nice telephoto len as well in this bundle. This camera is so versatile that with all of its abilities kinda seems like a new camera every time you get a new app! The camera apps work great! The apps alone are awesome! Things you just cant do with a regular camera. Because it's mirror less it can shoot up to 11 FPS! The apps also help beginners get the exact settings correct for a certain type photo. Now the software. The PlayMemories app lets say, is terrible. I got a Nikon a month ago. This camera takes better pics and video. But the PlayMemories app is the worst. Thank goodness once you get to know the camera you can get around some of it. I have a Cadillac camera with Edsel software. It's really bad. I wont say it doesn't work, but what should be minutes turns into hours. It's almost like after they got done designing the camera, the app was just slapped together. This software, (PlayMemeries) should be recalled. I sure hope Sony is working on the problems. Right after I got it there was an upgrade, made it a tad easier but way short of plug and play. More like plus and pray it works this time. With it Ipad, Android phone and PC, the software flaws are even more appearent. I cant say enough good about the camera. Weather your a pro or amature,m your will love this camera! You may cry however every time you have to use PlayMemories. You will have memories alright after using this garbage, truly sad garbage software. Really disappointed in it t say the least. It takes it from fun, to a nightmare of searching the internet for the same problems everyone else is having. I literaly found out to make it work from a photography studio. Sony has got to be aware of this! With the other manufacturers are catching up with mirrorless, Sony really needs to get on the ball with this mess or it will cause a huge Loss in sales from word getting out. Just read everything and expect some hiccups when trying to set up WiFi. Truly a nightmare. The camera is so good at its price though I would still recommend. You will know more about photography by the time your hooked up. I'm speaking of the Playmemories app that has all the problems. The camera apps are great however. Playmemories is the software that communicates with the cam and computer. Really bad!!!!
