Battery holds charge for a long time and easy to charge between shoots. So far this battery has not cut out during a photo shoot which is great.

Tried to buy a cheaper one on Amazon but when we received the battery it stated they were not responsible for any damage it might do to the camera. We decided to buy the cannon battery from Best Buy was the way to go, It was cheaper than getting a new camera fixed or replaced.

I never know if the previous photographer charged up the batteries before handing off the camera, so I like to keep one on the charger - it's a quick switch out if needed.

Canon LP-E17 Battery Review

In my experience, it's better to spend the money on a Canon brand battery... we've been in the middle of a production/shoot and other brands went dead–even though showing full charge.
