Nice alternative to the 100-500mm L lens for non professionals. Lens is a fraction of the cost but still give nice results.

Didn't fit my camera. Best Buy associate said it fit Canon EOS digital SLRs. I have since found out that the "RF" style of lenses don't fit mirrored SLRs. Had to return and got hit with a 15% restocking charge due to poor advise from the Best Buy associate. Tried to discuss with management at store and was referred to the Best Buy customer service hotline. What a joke. Terrible customer service from an individual that I could barely understand that could only provide scriped customer service cliché statements. Requested to be contacted by his supervisor and have never heard back.

Canon needs some more Budget Lens like this model. We all can't afford to buy L series lens. Or let us buy Tamron.

Glass is what you would expect for a lens around $500. But it’s not a disappointment would recommend.

A good lens for the money. Not as sharp as a L lens but good for the price point. I used it for landscape photography in Arizona.

    Overall, excellent

When this first came out I dismissed it based off the slow aperture. I picked it up on sale and overall I'm quite impressed with the lens. Image stabilization is excellent, and Rivals my m43 gear, both on an unstabilized RP, and a stabilized R6. It's relatively light and easy to carry, and isn't too front heavy feeling mounted on a camera body, it focuses quickly, and it's impressively sharp for a slow, consumer grade lens. The two principal drawbacks are it's not weather sealed, and the aperture is painfully slow, to the point where it's not always easy to have good background separation depending on your distance from your subject. Fortunately the slow aperture is somewhat compensated for by the very good high ISO performance of the full frame RF bodies . You can also ding it for not having a lens Hood but I won't hold that against it, Canon doesn't do that for any of their cheap glass.

Great budget lens, supporting good image stabilization. Low light shooting without tripod, and while maintaining low ISO, proved somewhat shaky- but the image quality in ambient and highlight was excellent.

Haven't had much time to test it out but so far it is what my son was looking for. Allows him to get good shots of far away objects. He loves taking pictures of the stars and moon and this gets him closer.

Not really that good. I do bird photography, and it is a poor choice unless you are taking pictures in your backyard. I use it on an RP and it only goes down to f/8. It is very slow to focus and capture the image.
