I've been using this lens on the EOS R. It renders beautifully and autofocuses smoothly, quickly. I'm impressed with it. Considering how large and heavy the other native RF lenses are, this will make a great travelling lens.

Incredible lens. Compact and super sharp. I initially had the Sigma 35 1.4 and it just wasn’t nailing focus. And was very bulky. Waited too long to switch to canon rf but I’m so glad I did!

This lens is a wonderful addition to the EOS RP. It's sharper than most EF lenses that I've used, has a decently fast aperture, and has fantastic image stabilization. It's definitely a great value at its current price point.

I really like this product. Great lens to get into the rf system. Price is reasonable and quality is great! I highly recommend this product for anyone getting into the R line of cameras!

I can not stress how much I have come to love this lens. Had a old old 35mm f/2 on the EF to RF adapter which was nice, but this thing is just so amazing. Fast focus, sharp, good colors, not too contrasty and the size makes for a surprisingly nice balance on the body. Haven't really taken it off my camera since I got it. Never bothered much with 35mm, always stuck to 50mm for years, but I'm finding this perspective really just fun to use, but yeah, the optics in this thing are really quite amazing for the price.

This lens is a no brainer if you own the a camera in the eos r family. It's versatile, affordable, and the sweet spot for a non prime lens.

I am an amateur photographer myself. Normally I had a lens with an f4 ratio. But this did not produce professional images. Especially for wedding shootings, this f1.8 lens helped me a lot. So I definitely recommend it to everyone.

In my opinion, one of the best lens you can get for Canon R models right now. Compared to the others, this one is a great price and the pictures are very, very sharp.

Highly recommend! light, fast and sharp compared to ef 1.4 version. IS is a good bonus for video and Macro is occasionally helpful..

Good build quality, solid optics and great autofocus. Internal stabilization makes it a great option for shooting video. Only con to this lens is the autofocus can be slow when auto focusing from its closest focus distance to anything over 3 feet away but this can be adjusted in camera settings.

Good lense not L but good great for low light and more usable up close than 50..

This lens has been my main lens since I paired it with my RP. This is my first RF lens and have very pleased with the sharpness of the photos. Macro is also a bonus.

This is an affordable solution to a lot of shortcomings you might find in the kit lenses included with Canon R series cameras. Fast, versatile, lightweight.

Good little lens for the price. The motor is loud so may be an issue for people looking to use for video. Good bang for the buck.

Good lens, produces some really sharp, crisp images. Hard to focus at times and there seems to be a bit of a learning curve with it but still takes really good photos.

Definitely a great RF lens, especially for the price! Worth every dime. The aperture works great and all my pictures are sharp! Well worth it.

I absolutely love this lens. 35mm is one of my favorite size lens to shoot in. Not full macro but is great to get started with macro photography.

I am very glad I bought this lens. Having optical image stabilization along with In body Stabilization on the R5, gives me a super stable shot or video all of the time. Having macro capability is simply a bonus. I use this lens for everything from street photography, landscape, video and everything else except portraits. For that I use the very comparable RF 85mm f/1.8 IS. They make a perfect pair of lenses.

Great for portraits! Love the aperture of 1.8 and the 35 mm is a basic lense to own. Very versatile and easy to carry.
