Great for portraits, with a little extra wideness. Fantastic quality and at a great price! Definitely one to add to the collection if you’re a portrait photographer.

This is the perfect travel lens for me mounted to the EOS R body. It is compact and fast and produces a nice bokeh. With the EOS R it is a good travel alternative to my 5D MkIV+ EF 35mm F1.4. I only wish it came with a lens hood. I'm going to try some aftermarket solutions. Price is very good for what this lens can do.

High quality superb lens!!!!!!!! This little guy is great. The autofocus is fast and the new control ring is a huge bonus. It’s not that much of a difference from the original EF canon 50mm 1.8 but it’s great to mount on my canon eos R6 without the adapter. Love it!!!

I own a 24 mm 2.8 a nifty 50 and this lens and I’ve grown in love with the look and sharpness of this lens. It’s a must but especially for the price just remember it ISNT weather sealed.

Best budget lens for the R series.
To have 1.8 aperture and Macro capabilities is wonderful. AF is pretty strong.
It works awesome for film and stills.
Once you add the latest firmware on the R6 it got even better.

Great lens for the price. I took it to the local aquarium to get some low light shots and this is not a bad lens for the money. Video recording was good too! Highly recommend!

This lens is amaziiiiiing, it shoots great shots, my only wish was that it was weather sealed (Though i used it in Iceland where it rains alot and it survived). But otherwise I love the compact build and light weight.

35mm focal length, macro, AND a budget price… what a great deal! Despite the relatively low price tag, this lens can get some amazing images. Definitely recommend for anyone with a Canon Mirrorless body.

Good lens, produces some really sharp, crisp images. Hard to focus at times and there seems to be a bit of a learning curve with it but still takes really good photos.

I bought it to take pictures of insects, but it didn't work for me. The guy who helped me at Best Buy said it was perfect for that, but he lied to me, and now I don't use it because that's not what the lens is for. And i cant return it or trade it sadly

I am an amateur photographer myself. Normally I had a lens with an f4 ratio. But this did not produce professional images. Especially for wedding shootings, this f1.8 lens helped me a lot. So I definitely recommend it to everyone.

Incredible lens. Compact and super sharp. I initially had the Sigma 35 1.4 and it just wasn’t nailing focus. And was very bulky. Waited too long to switch to canon rf but I’m so glad I did!

I've been using this lens on the EOS R. It renders beautifully and autofocuses smoothly, quickly. I'm impressed with it. Considering how large and heavy the other native RF lenses are, this will make a great travelling lens.

This lens is a wonderful addition to the EOS RP. It's sharper than most EF lenses that I've used, has a decently fast aperture, and has fantastic image stabilization.
It's definitely a great value at its current price point.
