Customers are saying

Customers are enthusiastic about the RF800mm F11 IS STM Telephoto Lens's image quality, lightweight design, and impressive reach, making it suitable for capturing distant subjects like wildlife. Many appreciate its affordability, considering it a great value for its capabilities. However, some users note limitations due to the fixed f/11 aperture, particularly in low-light conditions.

Great lens for the money. But it’s not very good with anytpe of over cast. Or even to sunny it’s very slow. I use it as a scope to be honest. But it’s really hard to focus. The telephoto lenses are way better.

I bought this lens with high expectations but was greatly disappointed. My main purpose for buying it was to photograph small birds. The problem was that the minimum focus distance for the lens ...is so far away from the subject that even the 800mm focal length didn't make small birds fill the picture frame. Extreme cropping is a must. Better have a very high mp camera sensor. I'm sure the lens is probably adequate and nice for large birds and other animals ...people ...etc. but definitely NOT for small 2-7 inch subjects, IMO.

Placed an order for this lens and it came in damaged box. Then placed an order for RF 24-70 f2.8 which they clearly states it is in stock and after waiting a week on my birthday it says delayed!
