I'm a novice photographer and have been quite hesitant to invest in flashes since, heck, there is one already on the camera. Boy, was I wrong, I was happy that I spent the money on this flash. Its super simple to use and really preserves the camera's battery life. My pictures look a lot better since I have been using this flash and my interest has been enhanced. It's very versatile and I highly recommend it!

Works perfectly as a master or slave unit to my Canon EX580 II flash. Great flash for a intermediate to advanced photographer who wants a high end professional flash on a budget. Communicates and works perfectly with my Canon Rebel EOS T5 and T6s DLSR cameras.

I've used this indoors AND outdoors and have been very happy with it. I have used it with my 70-200mm taking pictures of hummingbirds at a bit of a distance and been pleasantly surprised with what a great job this flash does. I bounce the flash off the porch ceiling and am really pleased with how great the irridescent colors become vivid without direct sunlight.

I've been looking for a great flash that would make my pictures better in lower light. I had an older model 530ez, but because of the connections I had to use it in Manual mode which didn't work as great as I had hoped. I'm really looking forward to taking photos in lower lighting.

For my needs this flash does everything I need and more plus I have the Canon brand name and reliability. I especially like the fact I can set the 430 EX II speed light as a "Slave" unit that is triggered by the camera flash giving me greater flexibility with my lighting options.

This is a great compliment to my camera outfit. Its easy to use, has great battery life and recycle time is minimal. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good external flash.

I read the reviews and decided on the 430 EX II as the additional accessory for me. Plus the great sale. First use was easy, followed the instructions and my pictures have only gotten better. Bouncing the flash off the ceiling and walls really makes for clean crisp images.

Get performance and reliability of exposures when using TTL mode. Built in diffuser works very well. Those are the features used 95% for most users, but there are other modes and options for the more advanced photographer to take full control of their lighting

This was a gift for my daughter, who is a photographer/filmmaker. It was to add to her inventory of film gear. It was a perfect flash for her personal and professional use, without spending a fortune.

Never has failed me. I use it almost every shoot. It's fun to play around with different lighting.

A super flash that I've never seen at a better price. i've thoought of buying a flash for a long time and didn't want anything that wasn't Canon...it is smart enough to adjust the intensity accordingly and Lord knows, I need all the help I can get!

I love this flash. My pictures look great and it eliminates the flash shadow that I get with the built-in flash on my EOS Xsi. Pictures look great with good lighting fill. I just wish it wasn't so expensive for the number of times that I use it.

Totally impressed with this flash! The price was the only thing that made me think twice about it but after using it and seeing the pictures, I don't mind the cost at all. It recycles very quickly and is very powerful. Love this flash!

I have a really nice camera, Canon Mark III 5d, no flash on it. My photography went from dark or shadowed to day light. Amazing how good it is , fast and reliable it is. This is a middle range flash, but it does the job.

I purchased one of these several years ago not sure if it was the right flash for me. I was more than happy. I was ask to shoot a small wedding and it worked very well. Great product. Good price point. Easy to use

I love the outcome of my photos when using this external flash. It really make my photos professional even though I'm an amateur on taking photos...I hope to see and use this external flash in future projects...
