This Flash does everything you want , I bought this for my wife for xmas and she just loves it and never used an external flash before. She took lots of pictures before but has taken it to a new level. Great price

Always used the Canon flashes and have never been disappointed. The 430EX follows the trend. Although is it a bit pricey, it does deliver and gives me flash my 70D built-in flash can't come close to. I caught it on sale making the purchase a little easier. And use rechargeable batteries. I'm using NiMH batteries I already had and getting good results.

This product is excellent. I actually returned it because I decided to get a cheap knock-off (which actually works great, too), but if you'd like the real thing, this works well.

This was the best flash i ever laid my hands on. Very easy to use. And is compatible with pretty much all the cameras i had. It definitely has an amazing reputation for good reason.

This flash has been upgraded but very few will find it lacking for what they need. Go with the better price on this than going full retail up upgraded new model.

I am a just a hobbyist photographer and was tired of using the on camera flash. This flash is easy to use and works great. I haven't even began to scratch the surface of the features of this flash but in the basic events that I have shot it has worked excellently. Depending on the batteries you choose to use the flash definitely adds a substantial amount of weight to the camera. It's a great flash for amature shooters.

I'm an over the road professional truck driver and did my first pro shoot for cooldude at Gerald Jones Honda/ Subaru/ Toyota. The car I bought was a used pilot n showed Richard ( dude who sold me the car) pics from different shot's I had with me.One thing led to another n I'm back at the dealership doing a shoot. Weather wasn't on our side on the shot's so did some shooting in the showroom. I got this hotshoe flash for my Canon Powershot SX60 (see my review). The performance of that in dim lighting is mediocre at best. Although the built-in flash was OK for simple indoor shots, this powerful external flash allows high-speed outdoor daylight nature shots. I don't use ETTL or off-camera mounts, can't comment on that. In manual mode the flash speed goes from 1/64 to 1/1 in powers of 2, with power from -0.7 to +0.7. At close range can freeze action beyond what the shutter speed will do. The Bower Flash Diffuser SFD03 rounds this out.

Very happy with family photo results using this flash. Not professional grade but more than satisfactory for people who want clear, concise photos.

Works well and great reach. I have used other flashes that were supposed to comparable. This is far better. Glad I purchase the Canon 430

Used this flash out of the box for a company photo shoot for a upcoming flyer.. excellent amount of light to fill your frame..

Its inexpensive and well worth it a good starter flash to have if you need one, before you move up the canon flash family.

This flash unit is a work horse and will work well with any of the cameras in the Canon line. A quality product!
