A perfect size on-camera flash for event and portrait photography. Compact, but great coverage. I had used an older model, which had a difficult to open battery compartment. This problem has been resolved in the Canon - Speedlite 430ex Iii-rt External Flash.

Better than on camera flash. I had an old 530EX. This is a solid replacement.

I was unsure when this came out cause it was different then the one I had then mine broke. I used this for the first time at a contract for a well known bank and they lover the photos and yes I shot with it outside in the sun and it did a great job killing some natural light and highlighting shadows in single as well as group shots. a nice add on to any phototaographer's or any camera bag and very easy to use you will love it

I'm still figuring out the balance and the odds and ends of it this is my first Speedlight after years of doing photography so I'm not quite used to but I have got some pleasant effects from it and I'm sure I will think more highly of it once I learn how to use it properly

This flash is incredible, and well worth the price. It works perfectly and produces and incredible flash. It has many settings and options, perfect for the professional who needs to use it for different kinds of photography.

I’m an amateur photographer but I can still notice that it’s a lot better than the on camera flash. This is my first external flash so I can’t compare it to any other external flash but definitely better than the on camera flash

I bought it because the specs stated that it had a fast recovery time. I was very happy that it lived up to the specifications. The flash is easy to use and has worked perfectly.

I've just started in wedding photography and this flash is a perfect mid-range for indoor reception shots. Quick recharge rate-- I almost never notice a delay between flashes!

I bought another brand flash unit that I thought would work with my camera, I was wrong it did not match up, and the photos were consistently dark. Took it back and got the Canon unit, it works flawlessly. Should have bought it first and saved myself some headache. The Canon unit is a very sturdily built piece of equipment. I am very pleased and would purchase again.

This Speedlite flash is a great addition to my camera. Even at it’s simplest setting it improves the picture quality inside and out when in use. I cant wait to learn how to use some of the advanced features.

It is a great product. My first time buying a professional camera and was not sure which flash to use it with. I got this at a good deal and it added a great lighting to the photos creating more of quality ones

The flash is good and works as it was intended. The only negative is not enough instructions on the paperwork that came with it and the print is too small for some to read. It is still the best flash I have ever bought.

I purchased this specific model after doing about an hour worth or research on the internet and this one specific model kept popping up. Using this flash with a Rebel T5i and it's a definite improvement over the standard flash!
