These are really powerful! Haven't yet figured out all the ins and outs, but I'm so confident in the 600 that it's my second one! I plan to use them as part of a portable studio. The only real downside I see that they are quite expensive.

This is my third one, over the course of 3 years.. the other 2 still work, but I did manage to fry one and was repaired by Canon. I work for a company that shoots everything from weddings to corporate events on a weekly to sometimes daily basis so my speed lights see a lot of use and are put through the paces.. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who shoots photos for a living and needs a workhorse of a flash, or someone who has the 580EXII and is ready to upgrade. Otherwise, if you only occasionally use a flash, I do believe they now make a 430EX-RT as well, which is a cheaper option.

I'm so happy using my Canon 600EX-RT. Works great on ETTL, very much accurate. I mounted it on a 8' tall stand and using 1 Diffuser-60 and my trigger in two night events and 1 daylight photo session. The zoom works great on Manual mode but it wasn't enough for the need, but acceptable. I will buy one more this week. Great buy.

every photographer needs a flash. don't waste your time and money researching anything else for you canon slr. the other flashes are worth the options that you can have with this particular flash. my only regret is not purchasing this a long time ago.

My Canon Speedlite 580 put me down, so I updated with the 600. So far so good. It's a great flash and a bit simpler to use than the 580. I love it

This flash has been outstanding, not a single issue. I'm sure there are less expensive alternatives, however this is one of those items that you really pay for what you get... Fork out the money if you want to really good flash, especially with a master/slave configuration.

This is the best you can get for any Canon DSLR. It's worth the extra money and has so many features. I recommend this flash even for the beginner photographer.

This is a great flash with a lot of power. I wish the recycle time was a little quicker, but other than that it is great!

This is the first external flash I have ever purchased and I do not regret it for a second. Its powerful and really easy to operated. Great stuff
