    This is an awesome camera. I bought it specifically for the remote feature, but know that the remote that comes with it does not turn it on and off that you will need to use the LANC port and purchase an extra remote. I mounted the camera to high to be able to turn it on and off by the button so I needed the remote.

    Cannon really upgraded options and technology with this one compared to the previous HD cam I have. however, the previous one is so much easier to use. You simply can't avoid having to read the manual every now and then for simple tasks like defaulting to memory card instead of built in memory etc.

    I purchased this camera for my wedding, pic was great but the sound was slightly below average. Hard to tell if it is worth the extra expense over a camera at half it's price.
