We bought this camera to use in a church balcony. The picture was very good, zoom was adequate and worked well. We were a little disappointed with the sound quality recording that far away.

This camera has outstanding quality for the price. It takes smooth crisp images/ video, and is great for beginner videographers or just professionals. I would like to see more than 10x optical zoom, but other than that I was pleased. My next purchase will be a mic boom for better sound. Overall great purchase!

I bought this camera to record classes I was giving. It did the job perfectly and I was able to attach a wireless microphone that worked great with the camera. My reason for a 4-star instead of 5-star rating is that once the video is recorded, it is a bit of a hassle to convert it to a smaller file, such as one that you might use for a website. This is especially true if you have many hours of video to record. On the other hand, the quality is outstanding! As long as you factor enough time to process the video, I believe you will be happy with this camera.

Purchased this camcorder after being a loyal Sony fan. The camcorder is a bit larger and heavier than I'm used to buy would purchase it again in a heartbeat. Records awesome in low light and high action sporting events. Sound quality is great and functions are easy to understand and use. The only draw back is tge touchscreen is not as sensitive as I would like, but I can deal with that. Very happy with my purchase. Can't wait to try it out at Disney world on our vacation.

This camera offers the best of both the HD world and Sound Quality. With the dual microphones we have been able to record a live church service and get such quality that we didn't even run it through our mixing console. This camera is easy to use and has every bell and whistle that anyone could ever want in an HD camera.

We purchased this camera when my daughter was appointed to the WWII Young Ambassador Program. She is collecting oral histories of WWII veterans and this camera has been superb. I feel it has met all the qualifications that were required for the interviewing process, and has produced high quality interviews.

The Canon g20 is a remarkable camera for the price. It has all the bells and whistles of the g30 without the x20 optical zoom. Great camera!!

Overall I think that this camera is the best video camera that I have ever owned as picture and sound are unbelievable. Only problem that I see for this camera is that it has a lot of features that could make a novice confused.

Family videos, basketball games ...you know...the stuff most of us shoot video of. Easy to use, and video is out of good HDTV quality.

This is a very nice camera indeed, but its hyped up a bit too much. it just isn't worth the cost. You would be able to find a camera with equal greatness for around $500.

I have been using a Canon flash memory SD camera for 7 years and was ready to step up to HD. In addition, my old camera had poor low light performance. So far the new camera has performed to my expectations during trial shots. Videos are crystal clear and I have had good luck with indoor videos in ambient light. I am looking forward to taking it with me on an upcoming vacation trip. Only negative is that it is heavier and bulkier than the old camera, but that is a small price to pay for the improved performance.

This is my very first camcorder and I purchased it for work to record technology demonstrations and training sessions. Unbelievable video quality, poor audio quality which was improved dramatically with an external cannon microphone accessory. I did a video of my HD TV to practice and it was almost as good as what I could see on the TV. Bought some extra long life batteries and extra flash cards and this camcorder was amazing. I also bought a tripod to keep it steady and the results were astounding from this little camcorder. Buy it, you'll like it.

Takes amazing videos, very good quality. Only drawback would be the 10X zoom, which is a little limited in this class of camcorder. Internal memory and dual SD memory slots makes for plenty of room for recordings. The included software for rendering, editing and burning to DVDs is sufficient for most users.

Very good vidio camera, fairly easy to operate, but one must fully read and understand the manual. Downloading video and photos is not the easiest because one must connect the camera to a power source using the provided cables, then connect to the computer, and then finally use the software that came with the camera. You cannot (as far as I know so far) just connect the camera to a computer and import the video and photos. But other than that, it's a good camera.

Great camera I love it's small and not heavy but doesn't feel cheap
