    I wanted to get something that would create great looking memories since all our old family videos were good but not really great. This thing is more expensive than what a casual user would like, but it's worth every penny once I saw the results. I'm not a videophile by any stretch of the meaning but the difference from "normal" cameras to this semi professional are quite stark.

    I bought this to replace my old hfg10. It's exactly the same camera, but alot cheaper starting price. very easy to use in full auto, yet has complete manual control over everything including audio level, focus, f stop, shutter speed, gain, white balance, zoom speed, and more.
