I've been using DSLRs for professional videography for that past four years. I always needed more. I needed multiple card slots. I needed a headphone jack. I needed more lenses. I always had to be saving for the next camera or accessory. It finally occurred to me that what I needed was a dedicated video camera. I couldn't be more happy with my purchase. I'm already using it on shoots and love having all the features that I need. I record audio externally with a Zoom H6, so I wasn't concerned about not having XLR inputs (With XA20. Same camera, but with XLR). Having an enormous zoom range with an awesome aperture, dual memory card slots, headphone jack, a/c adapter, customizable buttons, and much more make this a killer alternative to owning a DSLR for video. Honestly, it just blows DSLRs out of the water in terms of features. Yes, bokeh is not as great. But I've still got my DSLRs for that if bokeh is my goal.

This camera shoots excellent video and even takes good photos! I am in love with it and I recommend it to anyone looking for a good quality camera for YouTube channels, home videos, vlogging, music videos, anything! All in all, you get what you pay for!

I upgraded from a previous version of this camera for many reasons, but mostly it was to get a wider angle, higher quality image, and add WiFi capabilities. The wide angle lens is great to have built in, the visuals look fantastic especially when paired with built-in filters and shooting modes. Audio sounds great too. But the WiFi is SO SLOW. Renders it it almost unusable. Do not buy this camera for the WiFi feature alone.

I have its for two weeks I take a lot of various videos in Alaska during our cruise with my family; we are very happy with all the videos with my Grand kids

It's very good and the quality is great! The stabalization isn't the best as it moves and shakes.

I bought this camera to video tape my kids sporting events, works great, real fast between recording and pausing, great quality video.

Easy to use and great HD images. I use to record football games and it is super clear and easy to download. Highly recommend.

So far it has shown great performance in low to average lighting. Typically I am shooting in a gymnasium which are not the best lit. Also I have noticed that the image stabilization is fantastic. Overall the performance and easy of use blow my old HD camera out of the water. I cannot comment on some of the other features such as the wifi at this time.

Canon, you owe anyone who has purchased this camera, a battery charger.No one wants to have to shut down their camera to charge batteries.I paid good money for this product,,and never expected to not get a charger in the box.You won't get me twice unless you make this right.

This camcorder is more than positively surprising in darker environment. It finds focus even by candle light. It has a handful body, convenient to handle.
