My primary reason for selecting this camcorder is that it runs on AC power. The sound and picture quality are about what you might expect from a consumer grade camcorder. Which is to say it's fine for just about everybody except the pros. But what really sold me on this camcorder is that you can operate it on AC power, which means you don't have to worry about running out of battery power. This makes it ideal for stationary, tripod-mounted camera shooting over long periods of time.

Great camcorder at a great price. Easy to use, good battery life, great zoom. Small enough to be easy to carry but still easy to handle and use. Very pleased.

I love this camera. I bought for when we have our baby to start recording her. There are many features that make it worth the price: Record for video and camera for pictures. There is an option to view the video on tv straight from the camera via hdmi. The compact design make it convenient investment for trips and capturing special moments. There is also a touch screen. Fantastic!

We needed a small lightweight camera that uses SD cards. This camera does the trick. Simple to operate and reasonable quality.

Love this camcorder. It's compact and take high HD quality videos. Has a great zoom but the wide angle is a little tight. I use it mostly for indoor sporting events and I have to make sure to get far enough back to get the entire court. Other than that the quality is exceptional! I was impressed when I replayed it on my 60" TV. You can even play it back right from the cam and you don't have to fast forward. It puts a start chapter each time you start and stop the cam which is great ! Fair price also.

This video camera does everything i need plus a little more. The quality is stunning in the basic hd mode. The sounds is really good too. The video has two settings above normal hd and one SD setting too. Its compact and fits nice in your hand. It does make a very small "rattle" sound when zooming in. I dont hear anything until ive zoomed into about half of the depth its capable of, from there its kind of noticeable if you're recording/zooming when its quiet. If moved when its zoomed it can be heard as well. It sounds like what computers do when theyre busy loading something. Not a big deal but it is somewhat noticeable in the recording after watching it. If you dont zoom or zoom only less than 50% of what its capable of you wont hear it. Ive read that this is a common problem with todays digital video cameras. One other thing i wasnt crazy about was there is NO physical manual. Its all digital available on their website. I have it stored on my phone as a digital book so its all there which is pretty cool i guess. Battery lasts about 2-2.5 hours.

I bought this one for $169.99 plus tax with free Sandisk 64Gb Extreme Plus mini sd card and free two day shipping! This Canon is a bargain but the quality is much more than the price. The 1080p is crisp and I have nothing to complain about. But if you buy an extra Canon battery, it will cost you a lot! What I'm looking right now is a good 43mm UV filter to protect the front element from dust and accidental scratches. For the price, there is nothing better than this! Thanks Bestbuy!

My wife wanted a new camera that was light weight and easy to use yet have good quality, and she got just that.

I used this camcorder primarily to record a business presentation. I was worried at first about the quality of the videos because of my need to use the zoom feature often. I was satisfied when I took the camera home after the presentation and plugged it into my tv. The picture was clear and the sound was decent considering the presentation was in a lecture hall and the speaker was some 20 feet away.

This camcorder is extremely easy to use. Battery life is pretty decent. In the zoom work is very nice.

I bought this camcorder just a month before my wife and I went on our honeymoon and it has been great. The quality of the videos is crystal clear and the camera has a lot of features, which I have not done a whole lot with, just using the basic features. It is extremely light and when you are holding it, you almost forget you holding a camcorder. I would definitely recommend getting a case for it as it does not come with one.

This camera takes great video, and I love the many options like the different camera modes and decorations you can enable while shooting. I used a Joby pod to connect it to my saddle during a horseback ride and recorded my ride. I little jumpy, but great memories hands-free. My only regret is I didn't buy the r72 which has wifi to allow me to shoot using my phone.

Very easy to setup. Good video quality. Can't beat it for the price.

This is by far the best camera I have ever used. I love that the you can use any lens from years back to present work in this camera. Very fun to use.
