I use it for making short films to go with my poetry. Image stabilization is very good as far as I've been able to tell. Image quality is good, however in low light environments it loses a lot of quality. The low light setting on the camera actually made my video seem laggy. But in auto mode it seemed to be better.

bought this cause my mini dv camera went belly up and was getting harder to find mini dvs for it. I was a little afraid to buy a camera with a digital card to record on but after getting it and found out how easy it was to set up and use I wish I had done it a long time ago.

Bought to record high school sports events. HD video quality is great, but pictures for the fast moving events of a basketball game is not as great. Recommend for the video but not so much for the pics.

I bought this to take videos of my son's band programs & concerts. Really great quality video but I'm having a hard time figuring out how to get my videos to save to both the internal memory AND the SD memory card. If anyone can help with this I'd really appreciate it!

We had an older model that had been damaged. This unit was a great replacement. Works better than the other.

This is a very light weight camera which also has the ability to take pictures while recording. Image and volume is clear and loud. Only down side we found about this item is that it takes a while to fully charge. Other than that .. love this camcorder!

I would totally recommend this product. It is very easy to use and I am hardly ever disappointed in Canon video cam products. You probably can add one or two extra features to enhance the product capability, however, out of the box, great video camcorder.

I purchased this camera not so much for the video quality but for the the time it would run. I had to video several people for several hours at a time. The camera not only did this well, but also the battery lasted much longer than expected. Canon has a great product.

Good quality video. On screen prompt buttons that are small and sometimes you have to push a couple of times to work. I bought a floor model which didn't have the A/C adapter but I bought on and it works fine.

I don't know squat about cameras so I wanted something that would be REALLY easy to use and I love this little camera. So mine is an uneducated opinion, but if ease of use is a priority, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I bought this camera with the intent of filming small puppet show videos at my church, it was worked very well so far and I love it. Easy to learn! Be sure to buy a case and sd card and tripod for those interested

This is my third canon camcorder, this is the least expensive one I've purchased as well. It's the best , most reliable, and portable camcorder I've ever owned. Very impressed by quality of footage as well.

Bought it, charged it up and used it right away. The set up was easy to follow. Very light weight. Our first digital camcorder so still learning things we like and don't like versus MiniDV.

my 13-year-old daughter wanted a camera so she could create videos for her and her friends . she has been able to produce some fantastic videos using this camera been very happy with the purchase .

Purchased for sons graduation. I was impressed with how clear the zoom was. The recordings came out perfectly even though I was about the length of the gym away.

This is a great handheld video camera. Lightweight and small enough to fit in your pocket. The price was very good and Canon is a great product. I use it all the time and it was worth buying.
