Camera is small, very light, and takes good video. The video is saved to a memory card so easy to get video onto a laptop.

Great experience and great camcorder. It's a lot smaller than I thought and perfect for my son! He wanted a camera to make little movies with, so this is a perfect intro camera for him. Doesn't seem to have a light though, or I haven't found it yet. The instructions aren't very helpful. Simply shows you how to turn it on and off and what the buttons are. Was easy to setup and the touch screen was nice surprise!!

I purchased this camera to record parts of a competition my son was on. The camcorder is light weight and easy to use and takes great videos. However......when taking a videa you CAN'T pause and continue, like you can with your everyday smart phone. So I have an hour long video when it should be only like 10 minutes. I don't understand why you can't pause. And I was never told about this or I wouldn't have purchased it.

Great choice for our purpose. HDMI output easily connects to a video capture card (Elgato) for streaming through Open Broadcast Software. We are not using the camera mic... connecting our sound board to the video capture card. Great image quality, great lens (especially the 32X zoom), good low-light image (our sanctuary can't get above about 60 lux). Tons of wonderful movie-making features that unfortunately we ignore for our purpose. But a very cost-effective, high-quality, high-feature camera. Very happy with it.

Purchased this to record our sons marching band competitions and this camcorder worked great. Picture is clear and it picked up sound great. The touch screen is easy to navigate and I like that I can add an external mic if I want. This camcorder has exceeded my expectations.

I received this camera s a Birthday gift for filming videos for my YouTube channel. I really love the quality of my videos now. I also love the fact that I can hook this camera up to a TV and use it as a monitor with the included HDMI cord so I can see exactly what my videos will look like on a full screen. I did have to buy another longer HDMI cable and jumper to combine the 2 to hook it up though. Another thing I absolutely love about this camera is that I can remove the battery completely and hook it up with the included wall mounted power cord and film my videos. Hands down this camera is amazing.

I purchased this camera a couple of weeks ago. The camera is very easy to use and the video quality is great! I already played back some of the videos on my computer and the sound is great too! The 3 inch color touch-screen is very clear and colorful and the image stabilizes well. I would definitely recommend this camera to a friend.

I've never used a camcorder before and was amazed at how easy this is to use -- and the excellent quality of the video. It's VERY compact and lightweight. And it's a Canon, so of course it's well-made.

I picked this up to record my son’s football games. Great lightweight camera with a good zoom. Very easy to use and plenty of battery life.

This camera is great! It’s small and compact, the videos are clear, and the mic is pretty nice! Simply open the swivel screen and it automatically powers on. The adjustable strap allows it to fit comfortably in my hand while recording. The only weird thing is the battery. It’s pretty bulky but not a big deal. It’s so simple to use. My pre-teen nieces take over It at family gatherings and they love it! I would highly recommend for anyone wanting a simple recorder to capture great memories.

Works about as youd expect. Pretty good video in most lighting conditions, and acceptable audio. Mic in and phones out make it much more flexible. Strong telephoto, not quite enough wide angle for indoor shots. A good inexpensive option for solid 1080 video with good picture quality (good color, grain, focus, distortion, etc). Not as quite as good as an older vixia I had, but about 20% of the cost and a quarter the size. Seems as good or better than any other options within 2x this price or more.

i have to say I am very happy with this camcorder considering it is a basic model. It is small and light and easy to use. I think it is a better buy than the equivalent Sony model, it has more features including mic and headphone inputs.

The camera itself is easy to use and the quality of the recorded image is quite good. You record to an SD card (sold separately) and then you can burn the video to a DVD-R; however, you will need to buy some DVD editing software in order to burn a DVD that is viewable on a stand-alone DVD player. Without using that software your DVDs are only viewable on your PC. I paid about $70 for the software.

While lacking extravagances like WiFi, this is a solid camcorder with a great zoom lens that produces a quality 1080p video at a great price. It was the perfect "second point of view" for a recent live performance.

It is small and easy to use. Used it for filming my son's football games and it has worked perfectly fine with a tripod. For the price it's just right.

If you are looking for a good HD camera at a great price, then this is the camera for you. Picture is crystal clear and the camera is very compact. LCD screen is a bit small and the camera isn't made for low light conditions but still amazing for the price point.Perfect for YouTube beginners .

I purchased this camera to use as a high quality webcam for recording video tutorials. I use the HDMI output into my computer via an Elgato HD60 S+ capture device. A key feature for me was that it has an external microphone input so that I could use a condenser microphone and get good audio. This camera is great for that purpose. Other video bloggers use a still image camera for video but I though it would be better to use an actual camcorder that is built to deliver video for hours and hours without overheating. This camera doesn't disappoint. I took away one star because the audio noise floor is quite high at -40dB so I have to post process the audio to get it really quiet. I would have like it to be lower down around -65dB like my iRig Pro. There is also no way to control the shutter speed but that may be asking a lot for a little consumer camera. Overall it's a great camera and it works really well as a high quality webcam that you can also take on vacation. lol

I bought this recorder as a gift for my Son to record his athletic workout sessions. It outperformed a previous recorder and provided excellent footage, as well as still shots. The zoom feature, lighting, and sound quality is good. Recorded a sporting event from the balcony section of a gym and with the zoom feature it was like being front and center. It's easy to use, lightweight, and well built. Great value for the price.
