I bought this video camera because I have a Sony mirrorless camera that takes amazing photos - but overheats and cuts off after about 8 minutes of video. So I figured I needed a dedicated video camera for longer videos. I really like it, but have deducted a star because I wish the video quality was better. It isn't bad - it's just not as good as I wish it could be. I love that I could leave it plugged in and be able to record until I ran out of space. Otherwise, there is about 2 hours of video time on a full charge. It's very lightweight but sometimes if I try zooming in/out I will accidentally hit the start/stop record button, so be aware of that.

Great picture for the price sleek and compact! This camera is awesome! Easy to use and is so small it can fit in a purse! The picture is amazing the controls are super easy to use!

I would suggest an external mic, but the camera video quality is great. I purchased for $180 on black friday 2017 for filming hunts. I think itll work great, doesnt have LANC or wifi for remote control of focus and zoom, but the image quality seems as good as i can ask for

Picture quality is awesome. Easy to use. You will need a spare battery. battery last a long time but need to remember to charge it. LOL

I wanted to use a camcorder for my vlog and this one is perfect. Light, small, easy to use..no issue in recording and transferring video clips from the memory card to my computer

Bought it for my daughter birthday as gift, and she liked it very much. This is a great Camcorder. I'm amazed at how clear the clips are even at full zoom. The sound quality was also extremely good

Great camcorder for a great price. Easy to use. Good features and lightweight.. like that you can just plig into the tv and watch what you've recorded

I love this camera, has input for external microphone and output for headphones allows my to insure quality audio with my videos. I would not recommend for low light environments. If using in low light an external light source is necessary.

Have this camcorder now for about 6 months and finding it well suited for my needs. Only negative, as others have said, low lighting situations can create a grainy picture quality. Under normal lighting conditions, picture is great! Like the zoom control on the top of the camera. This replaced an 18 year old JVC VHS camcorder which seemed like it came from the Prehistoric times compared to my Canon camcorder!

I love this camera it's easy to use, compact, nice zoom. It also fit my camera stand I already had. I would definitely recommend this item!!

The camcorder recorded excellently. Pretty easy to use and figure out the buttons and such. I need it to film family gatherings, especially over the holidays, so I bought it on sale over Black Friday. It was supposed to just stand on my tri-pod and film. When I charged the battery pack, it would not charge. Left it for an hour, then two and so on. Left it for days to charge, and the battery pack would not charge. The camcorder did film, so the item itself was not defective and when I looked at the hours footage, it all came out beautifully. But, the camcorder filmed plugged into the wall outlet. I had to really find spots where I could find a wall outlet to get my shots and I could not film all over the house as I wanted to. So, I had to exchange for a different one. I am sure that the battery pack was defective, but I decided to try another brand anyway.

I like the way it is easy to copy videos from the memory card. It is just plug and play thing for laptop and all your videos are copied instantly. This is HD quality and so can't really compare to 4K but all n all it is good value for money deal for the price I got it. Happy with the purchase. I would have given 5 star if the unit body would have been of better material. Its made up of not so good plastic but not sure if it is done to keep the overall unit weight low.

Salesman was very knowledgeable. I'm not a high tech customer so I don't know much about the different gadgets. He explained all the features and I could get a better picture of myself using the camera worry free.

Had tonrrplace an older canon camera. We just use these for Christmas morning and a few small things during the year. It has a clear picture and captures good sound. Surprised for the low price.

Picked it up on Black Friday for a great price to use on a trip to Belize/Guatemala later this year. Very easy to use and not so expensive that if something happens to it on my trip, I'm out a ton of money.

I use this mainly for indoor basketball recording for my son. I record using 1080 60fps and so far the quality has been better than expected for the price. Battery life has exceeded my expectations, it shows over 2 hours of battery life after charged. I have never used it more than 1 hour at a time before changing so I cannot attest to whether this is accurate or not. However, the lowest the battery indicator showed was 90 minutes (give or take)

It is simple, takes great video, and the added feature of a microphone jack make it the best buy for me. I don't use 4K resolution for anything, so there was no need to pay more for a video.

Used this to video some work we were doing on a building and worked out great. set it up on a tripod while the crew worked. Job was done in about two hours and still had some juice in the battery.

I used my camera during our snow day. When I played back the video I was very surprised how well the little snowflakes showed! I can't wait to use it again for our family memories!
