I wanted something lightweight with good battery life and picture quality to record my daughter's volleyball and lacrosse games. This is perfect for that. It weighs nothing, I can hook up to my TV via HDMI to watch or to transfer the videos. I would recommend this.

This product is reliable and good quality. Difficult to find an extra charger when needed. Store didn't carry one.

Needed a camera to film HS athletics. This is a perfect camera for capturing highlights of games. It's grwat outdoors, but inside it needs near perfect lighting. Still, for the cost, it's hard not to recommend

I love this camera. I've used it as second camera for many shoots and it hasn't let me down. From stage performances to sports, I even carried it for a full marathon in the palm of my right hand and shot over 200 clips along the 26 mile route. It is so lightweight and the functions are easy to access. Great purchase.

This vid cam is compact and easy to operate. The video quality is outstanding for the price and the onscreen display makes getting to various settings for the type of vid you want very easy. I would highly recommend this camera for those on a budget that want a camera that claims the best features at a much higher price.

Pleased with our new video camera...We used it to record messages to absent family members at a recent socially distanced gathering...Takes much better video than a cell phone and can be placed on a tripod for ease of use...Love it!

Excellent daytime quality low light shooting leaves much to be desired

Hard to operate in low light situations but overall great camera

This is my third VIXIA camera --- now I have three almost identical cameras for three tripods to self-video record my own music, with stereo studio audio added, and it works really well for my purposes of publishing online. The reason I have VIXIA was first that it has a stereo microphone input that I can use for live applications with my good studio microphones --- but as I added a second and third camera I realized the importance of their being similar, so I could easily set them up to have the same parameters for frame rate, microphone manual level, file size, etc., since I'm doing all the work myself and need the simplicity of similarity. And, of course, we've seen Canon to be a dependably high quality optical product company even at the 'entry' level, ever since our first SLR with spot meter in 1968!

Camera is great for my daughter, she loves recording everything and it’s east for her to use.

This is a great camera and easy to use. The touch screen was nice due to it being sensitive enough that you don't press hard to use it. Other cameras I have had have a touch screen that requires more pressure. Overall recommended to all.

This is my second Canon. My older one was from 1999. This one is much better and smaller.

I recently purchased this for my husband as a gift. He had asked for it to video our children's sporting events. This is nice and compact and records very well. The sound picks up nicely and the quality is good. I would recommend this to anyone doing this as a hobby.
