It takes good video and is user friendly. The camera is light weight and the sound level is great. I use it for my son’s baseball games and vacations.

Video quality is great! Ease of use and feature are excellent. My issue is, and this may be a limitation of the technology, that a file can only be 4GB in size (34 minutes in length) then it creates a new file. Problem is, this also creates a glitch in the audio/video if you need a continuous clip that is longer. I called Canon and they said they have no consumer models that this won't happen with. I tried to fix the glitch in post editing but it's very difficult to not notice and you have to make sure your editing program doesn't snap to frame. I would think they could come up with a fix for this. Aside from that, I love it and as long as that is not an issue for you I recommend it. It is an issue for me but I am using it for tutorial videos and have found a work around for my usage so I ended up keeping the device although I had considered returning it because of that

Bought this camera to film my son's high school basketball games. It is feature friendly and the HD quality was great. Touch screen makes it simple to navigate through all the features.

Purchased this camera before several family vacations while trying to avoid running out of storage on our phones. Battery: This camera has an awesome battery life! We haven't had to charge the battery since the initial charge 1 month ago... Note that we have only taken about 1 hour of no consecutive video clips. The camera has been turned on & off several times trying to catch candid moments which uses more battery power. I love that it shows you the total number of battery minutes left before the battery is exhausted. Camera Functions: Everything functions as it should. Image stabilization on this camera is awesome! We have not had any problems with any portion of the camera yet it has only been 1 month. Lens Cover: The lens cover seems a bit jankey. It rattles while walking when open or closed. The switch for the lens cover is in a horrible place especially for a man's hands... It is the only part of the camera that seems a bit cheap... especially when paying over $400 on a camera. I want it to open and close automatically when the power toggles. Built in memory: I purchased a 32 gb card in addition to the builtin member because I was afraid of running out of space on our trips. We didn't use but a fraction of the built-in hard drive but it is still nice to add memory to the device. Overall: We are very happy with this camera!

We needed a new video camera. I actually went to the store to buy a different one, but when I tried all the samples- this one stood out- light, easy to use, picture still clear with zoom... We take it everywhere and it is so compact that it fits in your regular bag.

The camera is small enough to put into a purse. Easy to operate for a beginner.

Nice, compact size with all the quality you look for in a video camera

This camera did very well for our vacation trip. The only issue I had was the glare off the flip out screen. I don't really see a way to avoid that but most of the time I was not totally sure of what I was filming and chased certain things that were far off, but once I locked in and zoomed slow it turned out really good. The idea of touch screen high res photo's is a really neat feature. The on board memory held all the HD high res videos over the course of 2 weeks along with random still shot photography, with room to spare. I never needed to use the additional SD memory card I installed.

I purchased this camera to finish videoing my son's first season of high school football to build his recruitment video. The absence of blurring during fast movement during play has been great. Love the form factor also

This is a lovely camcorder that is very lightweight and versatile. With the articulating viewfinder, it's easy to film in a number of different angles. It was primarily purchased to capture a newborn as she grows up. Leaving it sitting on the coffee table means that we can film her within a moments notice. There is also a very convenient feature that allows the camcorder to turn on simply by opening the viewfinder. This allows someone to begin filming within about 3 seconds of grabbing the camera, allowing us to quickly capture precious baby moments. My only regret is that recording on the highest quality recording means that you cannot write to the internal memory and an SD card at the same time. I am disappointed with this limitation as the reason I purchased this model specifically was to allow for duplicate recording in case either the internal memory or my SD card corrupts...I would have still had my footage. If recording in the second-highest quality, this limitation goes away.

This is a great little camera that we have used at multiple volleyball tournaments so that we never miss the action. The size is perfect, doesn't take up a lot of room but feels good in your hand - not like you're about to drop it.

It records wonderfully!!!! So easy to use. We recorded our grandchildren during swim meets and they were gorgeous!!! Love our little camera!!!

I love this camera. I used it to video my wedding this year. HD video. Looks great. The pictures could be clearer but the videos are great.

It is very easy to use. Love the fact that uses the sun desk where I could put it in my computer or my TV easy to download put on a DVD.
