Has nice features but I'm very disapointed

I was excited when I first got it because of the nice interface and user-friendly menus and set up the camera offers. However, when we were traveling and I used if for the first time outdoors, I found that screen, that serves as the view finder, was barely usable in bright sunlight or even in normal outdoor situations. I have an older Sony that is big and clunky by comparison, but it was a dream to use outdoors compared to this new Canon. I wish I had not purchased it but since it is not a warranty issue (the camera does work) I will have to dump it on Ebay or something.

Excellent camera
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this as a spur of the moment purchase to film my daughters first School of Rock performance. I have always been a fan of Canon 35mm cameras prior to the digital age. I was not disappointed with my purchase. Picture and audio quality is fantastic. Easy to set up and use. I recommend buying a SD card to make transferring video easy. I Have not used outside so I cannot comment on the viewfinder, but it works great indoors and takes great video of subjects on stage with bright lights. Zoom feature excellent. No grain at all. Another nice feature is that you can take pictures too. Others have been disappointed it doesn’t have a pause button. Not a big deal as far as I’m concerned. It’s much easier to edit the videos using individual files. I used the Movavi video suite to make custom movies and burn DVDs. I highly recommend this product. Couldn’t be happier with my purchase.
