The lack of attention to an easy to use method to download the videos take on this make this a horrible camera. I regret the purchase and to return in would have to pat the stocking fees. You cannot drag movies off the camera, or off a memory card, you must import them into video editing software--what a crock of s.... In addition, after plugging the camera in, in order for them to be importable you press the play/record Botton. Who thought of this? Ease of use is a zero thus the one star review. Video is good, but so is the video on my iPhone. Not worth the cost by any stretch of the imagination.

I had a non-waterproof version and this works. This one is nice as it seems sturdy including from an accidental drop from say kids. So far so good and no complaints.

For years I have been afraid to take my photographic equipment around water or sand. I had a camera in the '70's get sand in it at the beach and die. Just a little sand blowing in the air or off of hands was enough to mess things up. This camera is waterproof and shock proof. I wanted this camera because I could be comfortable taking it to the beach, throwing it in the boat or a wet day at the grandchildrens soccer game. I ordered the camera in blue. All of my other cameras are silver, black or silver and black, I thought that besides being a refreshing change it would make the camera stand out. Unfortunately this camera arrived when I was spending time at a lake and I didn't get to use it for my intended purpose. I did test it in a hotel pool where I stayed the next week. I kept the camera in the water for about an hour. All of the underwater recordings were sharp and clear. The camera has only 2 buttons, a record/stop switch and a zoom switch. All other functions are accessed through the touch screen. The touch screen seems a bit less sensitive than others I use but I think that's a reasonable tradeoff for being waterproof. Out of the water, the camera performs fine. Nice sharp picture and colors outdoors in daylight. This camera does not have night vision. The autofocus works well through most of the zoom range. It does have some trouble focusing at the longer zoom lengths (as do all of my other cameras). This camera is smaller and lighter than the other video cameras I have owned. The camera fits comfortably in the front pocket of the shorts I was wearing the day I took it on a nature trail. It was nice to not have to have a case or fanny pack to take the camera along. I usually buy 3 or 4 additional batteries for cameras so that I don't have to constantly recharge. This camera has a battery built in (again, I assume to be waterproof). The camera runs fine on the external battery I charge my phone and tablet with. I have yet to use it much in artificial lighting. In the indoor hotel pool with what looked like LED lighting the color balance was great. Outdoors on an LED lit patio at night the color balance is great. In the hotel room with CFL bulbs the camera went into candlelight mode and gives the characteristic fluorescent light green cast to the video. While filming video one can press the still camera icon on the touch screen and snap a still photo. The time-lapse mode was an unexpected surprise. I love filming storms moving in and billowing clouds "boiling" by. I captured some great cloud footage in time lapse mode. While this camera lacks a couple of features I would like to have, it is perfect for my intended use. I can take it out in the weather, to the lake, the beach, the pool... where I've always been afraid to take delicate electronics. I love this little blue waterproof camera!

I purchased this to run demos for my art classes. I connect this to a TV to show live to the classroom what I'm painting. It works well for that.

This was bought to go to six flags and White Waters it's waterproof I haven't dumped it in the water but it gets good pictures and good videos

Got it film games from the bleachers. Good water resistance. But was not easy to use. And my iPhone took video that actually looked better than this video camera. So I ended up returning it.

This is a very good quality camcorder for the price. Not to big and can still be used on a tripod.

Great camcorder for every single video recording, a needed companion for traveling and on the go recording.

First off I love the color! It's nice to have something different from the normal black or gray. The HF W10 take very good 1080 hd video in well lit conditions with great picture and color quality. Video is not as good in not so well lit situations but that is to be expected with no light on the camera. Sound was very good. I didn't test out it's waterproof capabilities other then getting caught in the rain, so I can't speak to how well it does in underwater situations. This and it's shockproof/drop protection was a nice addition and a part of the reason I got this model though not the main reason. The things I didn't like are the door for the sd card and other connections, the charging cable/connections and the touchscreen. First the door is a 3 step process that requires you to open the screen which then turns on the camera. Then you have to push a small slider on the bottom of the camera and finally slide the cover out and open. A bit of a pain if you just want to plug it in to charge or take out the sd card, Second the charging cable is a 2 piece design that with a laptop like barrel connector that plugs into an adapter with a micro usb plug on it. Why not just have a micro usb connector? Then there are a micro hdmi plug and a a/v plug but there are no cables included with the camera? Last there is the touchscreen. It is not very responsive and this was noticeable as I tried to go through the setup process and having to make quite a bit of attempts to get the screen to respond. Then there is the camera shutter button which is on the touchscreen that makes for a not so intuitive action to snap a pic. Why not just have a physical button on the top of the camera body like my older canon vixia? A couple more things I understand that having an auto open/close lens cap might cause some issues in a camera that will see use underwater but that doesn't mean I have to like the use of a regular lens cap. And the battery is not removable so no replacing a dead battery to continue your use. I may try an external battery pack to see if that works? Overall despite the issues I have with the W10 it is still an upgrade in video quality to my old 720p canon and it's added durability is nice. So I would recommend this to a friend but would be sure to let them know about these issues.

Works great in water but, the picture feature is really shaky. We don’t really use it for that reason.

Not good for live-streaming, you get what u paid for…it’s ok
