I love this camera and got it for a steal on clearance. I decided to use it for streaming and it has a clean interface and works well for streaming. Quality and resolution are amazing for the price.

Decent camera for the price looking for longer battery life than a go pro.

Love the view it's well clear and love it. Love the performance in video. I've owned it for 3months. Haven't used much just been testing it out. I'm going to use it for our fourth of July gathering.

The lack of attention to an easy to use method to download the videos take on this make this a horrible camera. I regret the purchase and to return in would have to pat the stocking fees. You cannot drag movies off the camera, or off a memory card, you must import them into video editing software--what a crock of s.... In addition, after plugging the camera in, in order for them to be importable you press the play/record Botton. Who thought of this? Ease of use is a zero thus the one star review. Video is good, but so is the video on my iPhone. Not worth the cost by any stretch of the imagination.

I am relatively new to the camera game, but this camera seems to be a good quality camera. I haven't tested the waterproof capabilities yet though.

I purchased this to run demos for my art classes. I connect this to a TV to show live to the classroom what I'm painting. It works well for that.

I had high hopes for the quality of this camcorder. Has trouble in less than bright light. Also you can hear camera noise in the recording. Less than excited.

Love it easy to handle, great videos sim cards use, no longer do I need to use a video cassette to put inside of the camera to record

Got it film games from the bleachers. Good water resistance. But was not easy to use. And my iPhone took video that actually looked better than this video camera. So I ended up returning it.

Started using it right away on Christmas day. So easy to handle and the quality was great. Haven't had the chance to use it under water yet...

If you're in the market for camcorder that can take abuse, the Canon HF W10 should be on your list. In fact, I don't see much of a reason to have a dedicated camcorder nowadays with how capable smartphones and compact cameras are, but this Canon fills one major exception. It's rugged. You can take it 16 feet under water, drop it from 5 feet, and put it through tortuous environments without fear of it breaking on you. Sure a GoPro can do the same thing at 4k, but this has a live viewfinder so you can actually see what you're recording, plus it can zoom! The ergonomics are fine, pretty standard design for a handheld camcorder with a pop off lens cover that has a nice clip to latch onto the hand strap so it's not just dangling around as you're recording. Recording wise, it's a 1080p camera that takes good video in bright light, but is a bit noisy in lowlight. You can easily snap photos while you're recording, which is great, and the menu system is pretty simple to navigate through. There's a manual camera mode that more advanced users might love, but to me this camera is all about quick and easy convenience for nasty terrain. I already have a camera for fine photography and my phone does 4k pretty decently, but would I dare take them out on a boat or kayak? Or while swimming? Or heck, going underwater??? NO. That's what this camera is for... perfect for going fishing, swimming in the pool, shallow scuba diving, recording in the rain, a water gun fight, or even giving to your nephew / niece to play with (who you know will drop it). The only thing I don't like is exporting videos. I wish every camera recorded in mp4 to make transfers easy, but this camera compiles all the videos into a package that you then have to select the video and export it into the file format of your choosing. While it's kind of a standard process that I've gotten used to, it's so much more convenient when cameras record directly into mp4, or other widely accepted media platform so all the user would have to do is copy the files directly over. Not a deal breaker, and it's a common issue for camera manufacturers, but something I wish they would improve on. Overall, get this camera if you need something rugged that can zoom, go underwater, handle freezing temps, and can handle some drops. Excellent camera for the boat or beach!

Bought this for my daughters wedding. Didnt need it, but it seemed like it had lots of features.

This camera more of an action type camera. Video quality very good. Night recording not so good. Also wide angle viewing not good
