Very surprised with how much I enjoyed this game! There are enough levels to provide hours of entertainment. Level design was very surprising at times in a good way, never feels like you're playing the same level twice.
I would recommend this to a friend

My son loves this game. We play it together every day and it really gets him thinking on how to solve puzzles. Such a great way for us to spend some quality time together during the pandemic and the winter.

I got this game for my sister. She loved watching her favorite YouTuber play it so I bought it and she loves it. Very kid friendly and makes you use your brain a little bit. There's also a two player mode!

Overall, this game is great. If you played it on the Wii U, you probably don't need to get the switch version as there is little differences in content.
Game play on the switch can be a little weird because parts require you to you use the touch screen in mobile or use a controller pointed at your tv for docked mode (i haven't played this way yet, as I usually play my switch mobile).
The stages can be quick but tricky at first. Most have an hidden goal that only reveals after the 1st completion of he level, but if you complete it without knowing the goal it will still mark it complete on the first completion, so that is nice. It does seem a little repetitive, but not overtly so. After so many attempts at trying to complete a level it will give you a power-up you can choose to use that will make the level easier for you, but you don't have to use the power-up if you do not want to,
I think it is a game that most ages can handle, but smaller children may need some help completing some of the levels.

This is an older game I got on sale for $35. At that price, it is a solid deal. It breaks from the normal Mario-type games, it is more of a puzzle-type game with no running or jumping. It is all about rotating the stage and figuring out how to move from point A to point B without being hit.
If you go in knowing it's not a traditional Mario game, you will enjoy it.

I gotta say that this game is FANTASTIC! I'm a game collector and have been at it for over 30 years. This game is genius. It's very simple yet still complex enough to still be a challenge. It's a great family game.

Got myself this game for Father's Day because the kid doesn't get me anything. Anyway I'm just now getting a good start on it and I already know it's going to be great game. If your kid is like mine don't hold your breath for a gift and get this game for yourself. You won't regret it

I first played this game on the WiiU and I was very excited to see it come the Switch. Yes it may be a port but this game offers a very simple concept that existed in Super Mario 3D Wolrd and builds upon it. Just don't go into this game thinking its a standard Mario game because its not.
Anyone who love puzzles and collecting things will love this game.
It is a fun game for those that liked Captain Toad

Captain Toad had a lot of fun side quests in Mario Odyssey. If your kids enjoyed those side quests, they will love Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker.
It also allows two players which is good when you have more than one kid begging to play.

The kids loved Captain Toad for WiiU. When this came out we were hesitant to get another replay of a game we had. But this version for the Switch had many new features. We love it and enjoy the puzzle solving. You will too.

Fun puzzle game that you can pick up and play for short bursts. Most levels are easy enough to get through for beginners but the bonus challenges add difficulty for more seasoned gamers.

This game is based on a part of a Wii U game and was a Wii U game and now it's a Switch game...BUT IT'S ALL NINTENDO! lots of charm, plenty of fun and adventure! The switch version has some changes like new levels from Mario Odyssey.

Improvement from the Wii U version. You can zoom in twice instead of just once, because in the previous version when you zoom in it was super close up, but now the switch version has a medium close up.

My little one wanted this for Christmas and it's right up his alley. Only downside is there are challenges to accomplish and if your child can't read all the words expect you'll be asked to help out!
