I like this kettle, but I have two reservations about it. The first is the lid. It breaks more easily than eggs and there is no getting a replacement ANYWHERE, including from the company. The box says there is a glass lid so you can watch the water, but why anyone wants to put their face over a boiling tea kettle and risk getting steam burns is beyond me. It would have been easy to make a stainless steel lid or at least an attached lid - and that would have been more in keeping with the regular, rather too high, $80.00 price tag. For the $20 price I paid, I could recommend it, but only with a recommendation that you treat the lid with kid gloves because it is unbelievably easy to break. My second reservation is that there is one and only one temperature; you can't set the temperature as stated in the model's description which really should be changed as this is a key feature many people look for.
