This thing is really nice. It's aesthetically pleasing and has 6 preset temperatures. It's easy to use and comfortable to pour. Can't ask for more.

I ordered this on sale, but returned it without even using it. So, I can't comment on how well it works. I was pleased to find out that the electric cord was 2 feet, not 2 inches as shown in the specifications. But that error should have been a warning sign. I was not pleased to find that the handle and lid knob were not black but brown plastic that had an unusual texture. I might have kept it if I then didn't find out that the handle and knob were made of some unspecified material that had a California Proposition 65 cancer warning written on the outside of the box. Neither the color nor the Prop 65 warning were in the online specifications. Admittedly, the brown plastic was not inside, but I would be handling the pot and cooking at the same time. It was quite unappealing to me, The material was clearly not silicone as mentioned in another review. The size and price were right, but I just feel better returning it. Maybe some people won't be bothered by the color and material; in which case, the rest of the kettle seemed fine.

I ordered this kettle so that I could use it with my pour over because my Breville was too cumbersome to use with my pour over. The kettle I bought has the ability to choose what temp you want to heat the water to, which is so necessary for my coffee. I also loved the price! It was on sale for 50% off when I ordered it. Had the kettle not been on sale I probably would not have ordered it. I am glad I did and would gladly pay full price for one of this quality and ease of use. I would recommend that Caribou Coffee use a different material other than silicone for the handles. Wood would make a nice touch. It already looks like the Hario Buono Kettle, the wooden handles would make it a close knock off.

pro- all steel heating area con- plastic lid They could have made the lid steel as well since it has a hole but otherwise fine. The heating element works quickly. Selection of different temperatures is easy. Pouring is easy. Heats quickly. The beeps are loud though.

I am an avid tea drinker. So much so that I have an entire cabinet in my kitchen just for all my teas. I need it every day in my life. I've evolved from the on the stove whistling tea kettle, to the generic plug in electric which I was fine with until I saw this. The planets were aligned in my favor. I had $30 in store credit that I was trying to figure out how to use. Then this popped up in my FB feed on sale for $39.00. So I decided to treat myself for my birthday. I love that it has various settings for the type of tea that you're drinking. No more burning my delicate green tea leaves. It heats really quickly as well. It appears to keep the water warm until I've poured it as well, which is a great feature. I've found myself reheating the water plenty of times which I'm sure is bad for my electric bill. The glass top serves no real purpose but is cute. The spout makes me feel fancy. I don't know if I'd pay $99, I'd likely pay $39 again but for $9 IT WONDERFUL!!! Buy it and you'll feel fancy too.

I loved this kettle. Yes, loved. Did exactly what I wanted, but at just under 2 years it seemed to burn out and stopped working. The way to change temperatures is easy, and it's easy to use and maintain. Just wish it didn't stop working.

I bought this electric kettle for coffee making, and am very pleased with it. It is replacing a copper Hario Buono kettle -- nothing wrong with it, but I think I actually prefer the Caribou! (And I don't have to run the stovetop every time I want to make coffee.) While the Caribou doesn't win in the looks department, it does so in just about every other way. Heating water is a one-button deal after you've chosen a temperature (although the "coffee" preset being 185 degrees Fahrenheit is just wrong -- opt for at least the 194 degree "black tea" preset, or the 203 degree "herbal tea" preset for darker roasts.) The thick glass lid utilizes a silicone gasket to create a tight seal, which helps the water heat faster, and stay at the chosen temperature longer. The handle is beefy and comfortable. Finally, the gooseneck spout has little to no taper to it, allowing an easy, sharp, and accurate pour. The only issue I can foresee with this kettle is how tiny the top opening is; probably impossible for anyone to fit their hand into with a sponge for cleaning. Most gooseneck kettles are like this, though. You'll need a brush to clean the inside (not included) or alternatively, boil water with a bit of vinegar from time to time to clean. I bought this kettle on a good sale, but even at MSRP, I'd recommend it to anyone. I do wish you could choose an exact water temperature instead of preset temperatures, but I'm fine with the choices of 194 and 203 degrees -- pretty ideal for lighter and darker roast coffee, respectively.

I needed a new kettle as we drink a lot of tea. This kettle is perfect for brewing a pot of tea and is extremely fast in heating up water. I love the fact that it has multiple temperature settings for boiling water as well as different types of tea. I have owned it since Jan 2018 and am happy to report that it is still functioning well and the stainless steel finish still looks great.

I have a long and checkered past with alarm clocks and tea kettles; i.e. sleeping through the former and burning up the latter -- regularly! I hate the interminable waiting for a pot coming to boil and forget about it when I wander off out of hearing-range of the steam whistling. The last misadventure cost me a glass cook-top. I put my foot down--I can't be trusted to boil water! I love my coffee addiction and hate relying solely on my drip coffee maker as my supplier. This unit showed up on Deal of the Day at 60% off. I read reviews and ordered it on the spot. From the first use I developed a satisfying new relationship with this versatile Caribou kettle. It comes to brewing temperature before I can even consider leaving the room. Its sexy blue LED lights and seductive beeping sealed my love affair with hi-tech brewing that makes single cup pour-overs and French Press brewing a snap. It is like a conversant room-mate now who serves me coffee on demand. I recently bought a second one as a gift for a friend and fellow javaphile. And my kitchen is no longer a foundry for melting stove top kettles into glowing metal slag. Boiling water with confidence is good for my self esteem too.

Got this kettle on sale and I am so happy I bought it! It is sleek and works really well. I like the different temp settings and I like that it beeps when it's done. I also love that it is stainless steel. Looks great on my counter!

This is a wonderful stainless steel kettle that I use at least 3-4 times a day to make herbal, green or black tea. The different temperature settings on the kettle ensures my tea comes out perfect each time. I am very happy with the quality and price of this kettle!

I had been looking for the right electric gooseneck kettle for some time. I'm very happy with this purchase. I love the various temperature settings and how quickly it heats water. The capacity is a bit on the small side but it holds enough at max fill to make two very large cups of coffee/tea, which is all I really need. It doesn't leak at seams and looks stylish on the counter.

I purchased this on a "deal of the day" special for $45. I use if for heating water for my French press. I like this model because you can select your water temp level. It heats very quickly and looks nice too.

Works great as advertised. A couple of minor issues, is the small capacity and you can't easily see how full it is at a glance. I wish the base would stay "on" for a few minutes after I take the kettle off the base so that it could maintain temperature while I'm preparing my drink/food. Love the temperature control though.

The kettle is very nice overall. It boils water pretty fast, but still gives me enough time to grind my coffee bean and prepare for brewing. There is no plastic parts touching water inside of the kettle and the lid is glass with a silicone grip. Very easy to control the amount of water flow with the gooseneck. It leaves some water stain on the bottom after a week of use but it was easily removed with 1 cup of vinegar. Just pour the vinegar and gently shake/stir it. Very easy to clean. Since the hole on the top is small, it is a little difficult to check the water level. It is an expensive kettle, but the quality is very satisfying.

I purchased this to make my tea . I have a coffee maker yet my wife enjoys instant coffee and I like loose leaf tea . This product has multiple tempature settings and is very easy to use and clean . It looks great on the counter too . I would recommend this if you drink hot beverages daily .

I was looking for a tea kettle with variable temperatures, then i came across this one on a Deal of the Day sale. Aesthetically, it looks good , all stainless steel and with the swan neck. It is ALL stainless steel on the inside. The only plastic is on the outside bottom where it contacts the base. the lid is glass ( I would have preferred if that was also stainless steel). As far as performance, it does what is claims to do. It heats water to the correct temperature ( was off by a few degrees, but within acceptable limits). I thought it took a bit longer to boil water , versus my cuisinart ( under a minute more), but for the variable temperature feature, i think it is acceptable.

This is a very easy product to use and heats the water quickly and efficiently. I like the look of the product and it very good quality.

The temp controls work nice. Very easy to use. Would definitely recommend this kettle to anyone.

Love this! Its stainless good quality, has lots of heating options, price is very reasonable! I use it all day at home!
