I purchased this to replace my really cheap and thin French Press that broke. This Caribou one is quite the upgrade! I like the slotted lid, and the glass is thick enough to keep coffee warm long enough for one person to enjoy 2 cups. Overall quality is really good, and the wood base is also nice.

First press purchased so cannot compare to others, but find it a good buy for ease of use and cleanup. Includes wood tray & measuring spoon, which is convenient. Glass carafe seemed light and fragile but has held up well with daily use and hand washing. Press seal is sturdy, keeps grounds contained.

Whether camping, cozy cabin or quick cup at home, this little brew device makes a simple, fool-proof cup. No muss, no fuss - like brewing tea, but with coffee grounds. A little bit of experimentation with how long to steep the grounds, will yield as smooth a brew as your high-dollar drip system. All you need is hot water and grounds...enjoy.!!

This French press is amazing. That being said, you really won't need to worry about having weak coffee, every again. It produced flavor unlike any other I've had, and I'm using standard coffee brands that you buy in bulk. I believe in saving your moneys worth, but this is more than just that. You get the most out of your coffee, so you automatically start saving cost right there.

As my title mentions, this is my first french press, so I do not have much to compare it to. The press makes great coffee and it is extremely easy to use and clean. For the price it is great. If I ever buy another french press, I will probably buy an insulated or double walled one as this does not retain heat too long, but as fast as I drink it, it works just fine.

This is quite useful. I upgraded from a smaller unit which just wasn't big enough. This is the perfect size to fill my large 30oz travel mug. It is a bit thin but so far I haven't broken it! Works well and filters better than my last one. I do see models out there with two or more filters but they seem like they would be harder to clean.

Although fragile it makes strong coffee. Easy to operate

I like the french press but I can't keep my coffee warm.There are no measures to tell how many cups you are making. Easy to clean.

I enjoy French press coffee. I had a smaller one for years but it was just to small. I bought this because it was bigger and the price was right at $10. Works like any other French press. Nice wood coaster for the press to sit on.

This is my first press. I thought the process to make the coffee would take more time, but I can get 8 cups done with this in the same time my automatic maker does it. Plus, the coffee tastes better this way. The filtering is effective as I only see a little residual in what gets poored.

First time owning a contraption like this. I put my coffee pot in storage as well as my perculator. This is all I use now. The only thing I don't like about it is if I use cinnamin in it to make cinnamon coffee, it can not filter it. Apperantly, cinnamon swells,and it does not flow through the screen. Other than that it is the bomb.

If you follow the instructions there is no reason why this shouldn't work as well for you as it does for me. I stopped using the Mr. Coffee pot. It makes two cups for me before I go to work. I put the remainder in the fridge and finish it cold with sugar when i get home. Kinda perfect for me.

This is wonderful. It gives you the strong and robust taste of coffee. It puts Keurig to shame. If you are a true coffee lover, the french press is the way to go. The Caribu french press is oe of the best I have ever used. Highly recommend.

It sure is way better than instant coffee. I don't think it compares well against brewed coffee. One of my friends is in love with this taste. I guess you have to develop the taste for this kind of coffee.

Just heat up some water; fill the carafe of your new French press with 4 tbspns or more of coffee first. Then follow the simple directions to delicious coffee. No need to buy filters.

Honestly perfect for 1-2 people in my opinion. The mesh does give way after a while though if you're a little rough on it, which I definitely am, so grounds got into my coffee for a while before I used my GSP. But this definitely does it's job great and I recommend it to everyone.
