A lot more fun once you spend some time unlocking
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.So, I first purchased this months back because my son really loves Cars and I thought he'd enjoy watching and playing (well, pretend playing) this game. At first, I wasn't impressed and it was moving along very slowly..and he didn't find it entertaining at all. Now that he's a bit older I tried spending time with it again and started unlocking different characters, tracks, and modes. The game is a LOT more fun than I expected and I really wish a lot of that stuff was accessible from the start, but it's not. So, my advice is to spend the time unlocking this stuff because it greatly enhances the replayability of the game. The graphics are pretty nice I think for a kids game and didn't feel like some sort of "mobile game" thrown on console. The audio is decent, but don't expect to be remembering any of the music. There is a nice selection of cars, minus some that shouldve been there, but overall enough for the kids to pick their favs. Not only are their racing tracks, but the real fun for me was the mario kart style mode with rockets and stuff. It made the game much more engaging since the regular racing doesn't really have a sense of "speed" like you'd get from other racers. Overall after spending more time with it I really like the game and my son enjoys watching and playing it now. Well worth the $15 I paid for it.

Couldn’t buy

It went on sale and PS4 version was “sold out” immediately but Sunday when the ad is over it’s magically back in stock. Thanks Best Buy.
