    Great solar binoculars

Great solar binoculars. Very dark. It may take you some time to find the sun! One thing missing is a way to mount on a tripod. If you are very steady, or have something to lean against, it won't matter.

Worked great for viewing the eclipse! Not sure how often they'll be useful but who knows?

You can get a great view of the sun during an eclipse or not with these. The only problem is nailing down where the sun is. The sun will take up the entire viewing area, and because of the magnification pinpointing the section of the sky is a problem, since you can't just "look at the sun" and aim it accordingly. Great product just a bit challenging. Will likely go for something with a site or larger viewing area in the future.

Worked decent for TX 2024 eclipse

Worked well for TX eclipse and can use them in the future for solar storms and eclipses. Took a bit to get used to finding the sun using them but once I got the hang of it I used them as the eclipse was waxing/waning and of course during totality to see it magnified a bit. Not for kids - too hard and too much risk of kids looking up and taking these off!

    Solar Binoculars by EcipSmart

A nice Binocular ; I wish that EclipSmart made a similar product with a zoom option (that BestBuy would offer) ~ another option feature that will be useful for users ; would be to have a removable solar filter lens ~ allowing for for normal nature binocular activity and not just the solar eclipse viewing. Otherwise, it is a quality product

Amazing clarity. Easy to see sun spots and other details on the sun. 10X magnification can take a little practice to locate the sun in the field of view.

Don't expect this to be more than you pay for, it's a 30-35 dollar lens for a very specific task which is looking at the sun during an eclipse. For that they work perfectly, the blocking portion is a pair of two darkening lenses. These are removable, but it isn't recommended. They do bring the sun in to larger than the naked eye would perceive, and you can see the edge clearly.

Exactly what we were looking for to get another way to view the eclipse. Inexpensive and easy to carry. Solar binoculars are only for viewing light and dark and won't work as a "spare" for birdwatching.

Used these during the solar eclipse and they worked well. Took a bit of time to locate the sun with these though. When you look through them you'll have to move them around until you see a white circle which is the sun. Great being able to say I witnessed the solar eclipse in my lifetime without eye damage

Solar eclipse is coming April 2024. These will allow you to look at the sum and experience the entire eclipse, not just the darkness and cold that results. Having seen the last solar eclipse these binoculars will give you another dimension of the solar eclipse.

We bought these for the recent eclipse, and they were really great. A little challenging to aim, since you cant see anything other than the eclipse, but youll find it by scanning around

Optics are good but 10X magnification isn't enough to see good detail of the Sun. A tripod helps steady it so you can see sunspots. It's not a bad low cost way to look at eclipses but you can't see any real detail on the sun's surface. Disappointing in that respect.

It was very hard to even know if we were seeing what we wanted to see. We bought them for the eclipse and I got more enjoyment using a pin hole in a box method to view the eclipse. Maybe we just did it wrong but that just speaks to the product not being bery user friendly. They feel very well made and sturdy thats why I gave it 2 stars but disappointed for why we bought them.

Read instructions! You will only see the sun as a low glowing ball. Watching the solar eclipse was very interesting. The sun appears small.
