Good telescope for beginners

He gets great visibility of the Moon, stars and planets and can attach his phone for finding constellations. This was a great gift for him!

Good to look at the moon but not he planets

We even moved up to the 2” eyepieces and a 2x magnifier. Just could not get the images that were identified on the box or in the videos

Decent but double check mounting hardware

Ended up returning for better unit. Seemed like a decent beginner scope but looks to be quality control issues.
