Beginner Friendly
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first time buying a telescope for myself. Very straight-forward to set up if you follow the manual. Below is a photo of the moon that I took through the lens. I do find it harder to see further objects like planets, but for the most part, I'm satisfied with my purchase.

Great Buy for a Novice
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a pretty decent telescope for novice. I bought this for my wife because she likes to look at the moon and stars. You can see great details on the Moon. And some planets if you zero it in good. Only wish it came with some color filters to view more details of the moon and some planets. For the price to get into this hobby and to show enthusiasm once you get to see strong details of objects is well worth it. 1 star deducted just for the sturdyness when viewin things. Kinda wobbly when you're trying to get it focused.

Received damaged from shipping not sure about qua
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First I will say this was a gift to my son for Christmas. The item was shipped straight in the box that this item comes in , once I received it the corners were crushed and the bottom of the box was opened, I took photos , I immediately called bb to speak to a unprofessional cs girl that didn’t speak clear English so this was fun ,I finally understood that since bb didn’t have anymore in stock if I brought the item back to the store I would have to pay a restocking fee . I said like hell I will Since this item was delivered to my son that lives3 hrs away idk if he has checked it out yet. Once I find out I will post again . I also don’t get why you would ship such a fragile item in the box that lenses and breakable things come in . I wish I would of checked in a case before ordering also BB don’t even offer a case for this item I guess they expect the mangled box to hold up forever .

Not bad for beginners
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not bad for beginners... you need to buy Barlow and better quality eyepiece ... The pics are for the blue moon Halloween night using Barlow Omni with 10 Omni and 15 mm Omni all Celestron. For the price and ease of use you cannot beat that ... for a beginner go for it without hesitation.

First telescope, LOVE IT.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great telescope. It’s pretty clear looking at the moon and star clusters. The app is great too. Makes it much easier to find things that I’d like to view. Would recommend to anyone not wanting to spend over a thousand for a good scope and still get a good quality scope.

Good optics betrayed by wibbly wobbly stand
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this as an upgrade to some rock bottom (30-50$) level refractor models I have (mostly used for skyline views) to show some friends a nice look at a recent blood moon/selenelion event in my area. There are some positives, but I'm returning it without hesitation. The good. Significant upgrade in terms of lense quality/magnification. Build quality of the telescope itself is nice. It is large, but not at all heavy, and I did a 40 min hike with it no problem. Laser adjuster actually worked pretty well, I was definitely skeptical it could be adjusted to be useful. The bad. The legs. OMG the legs. Floppy stand that wibbles and wobbles. It's also non standard, so I couldn't use a nice camera tripod I got second hand. It's described as having micro adjustment but all axes have a gum like effect where even at lowest level of magnification, you have to over steer and let it settle back into desired position. Simply impossible to do for the greater level of magnification. Not even a handle to help easy rotation. Trying to lock any view in a position moves angle significantly. I was really excited about the up/down mico adjuster rod, but even that was worse than loosening everything and freehanding. The phone holder thing/app is complete junk. Any other free gyro sky exploration app works better. Did not find position in sky even once (I assure you I followed the steps). There is no phone attachment for photos, just for the guided tour (it's just a mirror). There isn't even a lense that filters down a bright moon, which is standard for literally the cheapest scopes out there. Overall. I have no complaints at all about the optics. But the stand betrays all that is good about this model. The 'patent pending' phone holder is nonsense. I chose to keep a bottom level refractor paired with a very nice tripod instead of this without consideration of price (and it's 5x more).

Amazing entry and good intermediate level scope
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this Telescope. It’s perfect for beginners and intermediate users. Bought it for my daughter and she was able to quickly get it setup and started stargazing within 15 min once it was assembled. Assembly took about 20 min. Photo of the moon was taken with an iPhone through the lens eye piece. Such a great purchase.

Fast locating targets.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wanted to get a telescope to share with my two boys 13/15yr old. And I was going to buy something else till I found this. Did my research on it and found that with teenage kids this may be a great way to get them involved without loosing interest and going back the their phones. Once this is set up, it’s super simple to find things to look at. Getting on target and viewing deep space instantly is the best way to have them stay involved. It’s not the most powerful but it’s super easy to find the nights sky. Absolutely recommend this telescope to anyone who wants to space out. Great for Beginners!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an amazing starter telescope! You can get a comfortable view of Jupiter and it’s moons with the eyepieces provided! You can also see some deep space objects like The Orion Nebula. The most zoom I’ve been able to get out of this scope was with a 2x Barlow and a 10mm eyepiece. This was a great combo for Orion Nebula and Saturn! I tried using a 7mm and 2x Barlow but you lose the focus at that point. Tip: try using 1.25” planetary filters and you will see a hint of the lines on Jupiter The set up is really easy and the red dot sight is pretty accurate once aligned. All in all I’m obsessed with this scope :)

Great Beginners Telescope
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have to say I'm very happy with my purchase! This is my first telescope and so far I have learned so much about what is out there in the universe! Once you learn how to align the red dot scope finder you'll be fine. I've seen Helix nebula, Jupiter, Saturn Mars and I won't forget about the Moon!

Great gift to strengthen an interest
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this for my 15 year old son for Christmas. He absolutely loves it. Put it together himself. Calibrated it himself and has found multiple planets. Saw Jupiter and 4 of it's moons, Saturn and it's rings, Mars (red). Very impressed. It would have 5 stars except for how it connects to the stand. It doesnt have a great "dove tail" (my opinion) and is held on by a single screw. Hopefully that is sufficient enough. Also not sure how to line up the phone's camera so he can use sky finder with the telescope the way you are suppose to.

Excellent first telescope or budget scope
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am new to astronomical viewing and after looking at reviews I went with this one. The star finder software on the phone works great. The eye pieces that came with it are actually really good. I bought an extra eye piece from Celstron so I could get a bigger view. I’ve also bought the telephone mount so I could use my phone to take pictures. I’ve enjoyed this telescope a lot. Plan to purchase filters and additional eye pieces.

Great beginner telescope
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great scope for beginners. The instructions that come with it are really good and will get you started fast. The app that comes with it is a bit inconsistent, but once you get it working, it's useful to find objects

Nice buy for beginners
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice telescope for beginners. It is easy to setup and starting to explore the skies. It does take some time to get used to how to align the objects in the sky but once you get the hang of it its pretty nice. We were even able to get some photos of moon using just a phone and without a mount. Attached a few images - they are taken using iphone xs and added some filters.
