    I was able to install the garage opener myself. It is so quiet. My only complaint is that even though it states myQ on the package you still need to purchase something for about $50 to actually use it with your smartphone.

    I purchased this unit to replace a 10 year old Genie screw driven door opener. The new Chamberlain Belt Whisper Drive is much quieter and faster than the old door opener and programming it to my cars HomeLink was fast and easy too. I didn't get the MyQ accessory, but I'm glad it is a option if I need to expand the capability in the future. And this opener has the wife seal of approval!

    This was a gift for my husband. I was a little worried about him having to install it...but to our surprise it was quite easy. Two people are needed but the directions were clear. It was up and running in no time. It's also very quiet, which I love!

    As others have mentioned, I also felt installation was easy, and I'm mot a handy person. I had hoped it would be even more quiet but honestly it was good enough, such that I decided to order a second unit for our other garage.
