App to control my garage with the phone app very well. It alerts me if the door is open for 15 mins(which is what I set it too)

Since installation the opener does not always work. I would say it works 85% of the time.

This provides wonderful peace of mind. It allows you to let people in if you’re away on vacation. And you can make sure you closed it by looking at your smart phone.

The myQ is a nice addition to any "smart" home. It gives peace of mind that the garage door is shut and alerts when the door is open and closed. The Chamberlain tech support people, while courteous, were not that much help with installation. Here's some lessons learned that will make your install much more easier: 1. go with the WPS option when connecting to your router. 2. after connection is established, add port forwarding for the myQ hub in router settings. The TCP port is 8883 and the UDP port is 2165. Go ahead and do this, even if you don't have any connection issues. 3. while the myQ hub only will connect to the 2.4ghz band, there is no need to turn off the 5ghz band on your router (unless router only runs on 5ghz band). 4. despite the manual saying to attach the hub on the ceiling and at least 2 feet away from the garage door opener, place the hub at the furthest location from the garage door opener that still allows for the system to work. I found that the closer the myQ hub is to the garage door opener, the better chance for radio interference from a regular garage door remote, keypad remote, or the homelink remote inside cars. And when there's interference, the myQ hub will drop the connection to the router and you're going to be re-setting and re-connecting again. The Android app is ok but could be improved. My biggest issue with the app is that there is no notification of whether or not the myQ hub is connected or disconnected.

Make sure it's compatible with your garage door opener before you buy.

A must have for anyone with a garage... be able to see whether your garage door is open (and be able to close it!) from anywhere where there is internet!

I would say, this is the last time that I accidentally leave my garage door open overnight. The application is simple, but does allow for setting alarms.

Great product, had a bit of a problem getting it programmed, but figured WIFI wasn't consistent in the garage. Make sure you have a strong WIFI signal

Performs as expected. The app allows checking the garage door position (open or closed) and opening or closing the door from anywhere with internet access.

It's very convenient for you to check your garage door when you away from home.

During my Anesthesia work day a notification said my garage door was opening. I began closing it and it opened Again per message. I called my neighbor and the police who responded. When my neighbor arrived door open. 2 days later Chamberlain said there were false messages! It is always disconnection while I have Internet. I apologized to he police dept telling of poor product

This product is great for those people who forget to close the door everyday! Nothing like doing from wherever you are long after you've left!
