Don't throw away your garage remote controls after installing the Chamberlain MyQ. Every once in awhile (Maybe 5% of the time) it won't establish a connection with your WiFi and/or your phone, leaving you with one of three options: 1. Wait until it connects (Most likely not a realistic option) 2. Use your old garage remote out of the car or junk drawer 3. Press the garage door button inside the garage and hightail it out of there before getting smushed. All in all though, this is a great product and I love the ability to open and shut my garage through my phone whether I'm at my house or away from it. It gives you piece of mind if you just can't remember if you closed the garage door before you left the house, and it's also nice to get the notifications when the garage door is open or closed if you're away.

Easy to setup and use. I've gotten a few notifications that door has closed but I believe that it has something to do with the electricity in my home going out. Overall very useful since my wife leaves the garage door open at least twice a month. Would like for it to be compatible with Samsung smarththings and Amazone echo.

This was an absolute breeze to set up and it connected to the WiFi seamlessly. It works exactly as it should. One thing I didn't realize is that the controller can work with two garage doors. All you have to do is buy a second sensor for around $40.

This is the device I've been waiting for! I can't tell you how many times that I've driven around the block just to come back and check to see if the door is closed. It took about 10 minutes to install and was really easy. It allows you to set alerts as well as show you how long the garage door is closed or opened. We have the app installed on multiple phones and there's no monthly fee like other similar devices. We've also uses it to open the door from the backyard when carrying something large to the garage so we don't have to stop and use the keypad. Highly recommend this device.

Super easy to install. Can open or close garage remotely from anywhere with my iphone. Can see if the door is open or closed. Get notifications when the door is opened/closed.

Simple to install. Took about 15 min. I got this because my garage door would open on its own time to time. This was a simple way to keep me informed when it does. Also I can close the door even when I'm away. I've put it to use already a few times while I was at work. It works well.

This was a great addition, since I am single father. It gives peace when my kids are home school or leave the house. On a few occasions I have come home to an open garage. So I can now monitor and open the garage remotely to allow large delivers to be placed in the garage for safe keeping

This product is great, took 15 minutes to hook up and the app is really easy to use, I love being able to see if my garage door is up or down and have a history of when it was opened. Plus being able to open and close remotely is awesome. Bonus that it connects with my Wink hub as well.

This is one of the first diy automation projects I have taken on. Things went smoothly and took about an hour to install - including one relatively short phone call to tech support (they have excellent tech support). Very pleased with the finished product and would do it again.

Works as described, easy to install, reliable option to monitor your garage door and/or control it when your away. Safety sounds and light are really good and the option of connect it to other devices like the NEST Thermostat is a big Plus. Hope they keep adding more devise to the list.

Took a little while to setup to my wifi, the instructions aren't that great. But once I got it working it was awesome. I did setup an alert to let me know every time the garage door opens or closes. I live on a main street and everytime a bus or large truck passes by, I think the vibrations cause the alert to go off and say the door opened. But two seconds later it says it closed, even though the door never actually opened. I think if I didn't live on a main street I would not have this problem. I love not having to drive around the block when I can't remember if I left the garage door open.

Installation was pretty straight forward. Recommend reading the setup instructions thru once before actual installation. I used to have to take my keys, phone, and the garage door remote when I would go out for a walk. Now I just need my phone. It's great!!

I wanted a unique gift for my husband, but this ended up being a gift for my whole family. I can check my garage door from work to make sure it is down after the kids leave for the day, or from my bed at night if my husband gets an emergency call. Peace of mind!

This garage door remote control was very easy to install and connect to the WIFI network. App is very simple to use. I was not aware that if closing the garage door using the app that the unit will beep to notify people that the door will be closing.

I would suffer from the did I close the garage door syndrome. Set up was extremely easy and I have had no issues. The app signs in every time so some might perceive it as slow but It works with no errors. I love it and I know my garage door is closed.

The Chamberlain MyQ Garage Door controller was quick and easy to set up, and works extremely well. You can set the app to get alerts when the garage door opens or closes, and even if it stays open for a certain amount of time. I highly recommend this product for anyone looking to make their old garage door opener "smart." The only thing I'd change, is to have it compatible with other smart home devices, currently it only works with its own app. It would be nice to interface with Alexa, HomeKit, IFTTT, or other similar products.

Let's me know when garage door is open and closed and let's me open it when someone needs to get into garage when I'm not there. Works like a champ.

use this with my old genie garage system. ez install makes closing garage remotely convenient also notifies me if i left it open.

Easy to install and works well. Occasionally has connectivity issues but can just close out of the app and reopen and it works

The directions are a little confusing, but I was able to figure it out rather easily after that. Can open/close garage door from anywhere. I also setup alerts so I know when the garage door opens or closes. High recommended!
