Battery life is atrocious. With absolute minimal usage the battery only lasted a month. If it was getting daily usage, battery would probably only last a week or less. Of course, I assume the purpose of this is to get you to buy spare batteries. At a cost almost equivalent to the cost of the unit itself. Then there is the storage plan. Unlike many cam cloud storage plans that allow numerous cameras on one plan, Chamberlain requires you to have a separate plan for each camera.Certainly not worth it especially if you have a plan on the garage door opener itself.

I can confirm that you are able to select a 30-Day Multi-Device Plan where you are allowed to add more than one camera.
To maximize the battery life of your myQ Video Keypad, we recommend setting your Motion Sensitivity Meter to either the low, or lowest setting. This will ensure your keypad is only capturing events immediate to your garage door proximity.
Wi-Fi signal strength also plays a significant factor in the battery life performance of your device. You can view your Wi-Fi network strength in the myQ app under the Video Keypad Device Management Settings section. If your settings have already been set this way and your battery is still being quickly depleted feel free to reach out to us at [email protected] for any other potential inquiries. Quiet Household (fewer than 10 events per day): 3 months of battery life
Typical Household (10-30 events per day): 2 months of battery life
Busy Household (over 30 events per day): 1 month of battery life

Could not add this device

I could not add the device into the MyQ app. Tried numerous times and attempted to contact support. Unfortunately it was after hours. This unit is bulkier that expected. The keypad/camera is not very secure in the mounting bracket. Finally I am concerned about frequently the battery will need to be charged. I will return this item.

Nice being able to do add guest codes

Great Tech Support, TERRIBLE PRODUCT

To say that the documentation is inadequate would be a gross understatement. There is NO documentation - only a QR code without so much instruction as to say "open this." After several tries, it finally worked. Task 1: Charge the Battery. That took more than 12 hours! Spent all night on the charger. Task 2: Set up your opener. I tried a dozen times without success. Spent an hour on the phone with a really nice tech support guy who informed me that my battery was almost dead! My response was, "Are you kidding?! Just from trying to set the thing up?!" Another overnight charge session... Tried again today. After several more failed attempts, the app instructed me to go to the back of the physical opener, so I moved the car, got the ladder but then it just connected on its own! Added my pin, my wife's pin and then a pin for a contractor we use. The first two work, the third one is "expired". Huh? I tried again - multiple times with longer and shorter pins - all "expired, expired, expired". I called Tech Support again. They have no clue what is happening. They said they are researching it and will "call me back later". However, even if we find a way to get the third code to work, the Tech informed me that I'll probably only get 4-6 weeks of battery life with "normal use", assuming it is not too hot or too cold. Are you kidding?! I do appreciate the honesty, but all I can say is, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS PRODUCT! It is not ready for the mass market.
