It lights up, red, green and blue based on the desired temperature for specific teas with green, obviously for green tea. I didn’t think 1.8 L is such a big size but it is and I find myself wasting water at times. You can’t go below the 0.5 ml. I don’t have any issues thus far, whether it may be mechanical or functionality wise but I would like to suggest that cords be retractable. I don’t really have a designated place for my kettle. It could be in the living room one day and the next in my kitchen. Due to the limited space, it would be great if the cord wouldn’t be dangling

It works just fine and I like that it’s glass. The led lights do look cool. However, our older one will reheat to keep hot and I have not found that this will do that. That particular function came in handy when we wanted multiple cups of tea or when company was over. For an average consumer just look to heat the water in an easy way, this does the job.
