Reason for Purchase: I'm tired of boiling eggs in water, setting a timer, not forgetting, and doing the process that way because it can only be done there at home. Review: first of all, keep in mind that I can take eggs with me in a cooler to any place that has a plug (work or family's house, or camping), and I can have eggs just like I did at home! Now to the actual machine: does it work? Totally! It does an excellent job. I'd recommend 30 seconds more when you hear the alarm going off after you did hard boiled eggs well done, but if you want anything below super well done, no adjustments are necessary. It is a trip how just putting some water in the little cup and on the inside metal pan will end up doing exactly what I can do in a pot of boiling water at home. Hard boiled eggs take 7 minutes, and the alarm is not too loud but loud enough and constant that I can hear it from 20 feet away in my bedroom to the kitchen. It is also a distinct pitch which is good because I have other alarms that go off and so it doesn't match any of the other sounds-I know which one the eggs are. Biggest surprise? POACHED EGGS!! This thing can actually poach 2 eggs in the little tray that comes with it! They come out delicious and soft as they are supposed to be (see my picture-I had salt, pepper, paprika, cayenne pepper, and garlic salt pinch...delicious!) Pointer: the power button is not touch, but push. You might have to push in and then push again, and the push all the way in...basically, look for the blue light to turn on, it will, just mess with the button. No big deal though. Oh, and for water spots or stains, simple: buy a little bottle of white distilled vinegar and put a little on a paper towel and clean the metal pan with it. No water spots! I would buy it again or for a friend as a gift any day. So worth the money! If you can to this, it's because you need this. Buy it!

I liked a lot this machine, the egg gets exactly the way you want. It takes about 15 minutes for the egg get ready. The only point that could be better is the tray underneath the place support that gets dirty and sometimes it's hard to clean. Maybe it would be easier if it could be detachable or support to be covered by aluminium paper.

I had this appliance for about two months and it worked great. Shortly after that it started leaking water everywhere which is odd because it does not seem to have a hole that would allow this. Also it’s very hard to clean and has a tendency to build a layer of rust and calcification even though I use filtered water. I would recommend trying a different brand.

Directions are not as though as they should be. Because of that unclear instructions it meelted the cooking tray for pouched eggs and still not inreciep of replacement.

I got this as a deal of the day. At regular price....eeeh...I think it's not worth it, too expensive at full price, unless you just really are bad at boiling eggs on the stove. I tried it out and got perfect boiled eggs! The most you can boil is 6 at a time. They recommend you use filtered water to avoid deposits. You need VERY little water. It steams the eggs inside container with a push of a button. The amount of time to cook is dependent on the amount of eggs . Instructions are included. Gives a high pitch whistle when done. It was difficult to twist the lid off to remove the eggs since the lid is HOT and steam is coming out of the vent hole. I had to use force to unscrew and hold base down so it wouldn't flop over. I only tried it once so far but Im very happy with purchase at the cheap price I paid. Be careful when removing eggs. With the steam and condensation, you can get burned, and eggs itself are very hot, just like when you remove from a pot after boiling from stove.

I like hard-boiled eggs, but before I bought this, I didn't make them very often. Boiling eggs seems like a simple enough task, but I couldn't seem to get them to come out consistently using the traditional method. One day, I happened to see this pop up as a "deal of the day" item. And I also had a $5 reward zone code burning a hole in my pocket, which effectively turned this into a $5 item. I routinely waste $5 on much dumber things than this, so I figured it was worth a shot at that price. As it turns out, this thing works great, and I use it a lot! Allegedly you can also use it to soft or medium-boil eggs, or even poach them. I haven't tried that yet. But I can say that it consistently produces batches of 6 nice, firm (but not rubbery) hard-boiled eggs for me. And it doesn't take any more time to clean up afterward than a pan of water does... most of the parts just need a quick rinse; the hot-plate occasionally needs a swipe of vinegar (especially if albumen has leaked out of any of the eggs), and that's about it. I also like that it's compact and easy to store. Bonus - I think it could pull double-duty as a sci-fi movie prop; to me it looks like an incubator from the medical bay of an alien spacecraft (especially when it's all heated up and emitting steam).

Remember that time when you had to wait until water boiled to make hard boiled eggs? Then, voila, 20-30 minutes later you had scalding hot eggs and a bunch of wasted hot water? Well, not any more folks! I can't believe I waited this long to pull the trigger on this little device, especially considering how inexpensive it is. It now takes me less than 10 minutes to make hard, medium or soft boiled eggs while also taking the thought out of the equation. Simply fill the cup contained with the cooker to the selected line, pour the cold water into the cooker, set the eggs in the cradle and push a button... that's it, done! Minutes later you have perfectly cooked eggs ready for cold water to be poured over them. On the bottom of the cup contained in the package is a small needle used to pierce the eggs making them super easy to peel and enjoy. I'm not sure why anyone would hesitate as long as we did to get this after struggling for years to hard boil eggs while scalding myself with hot water, ruining eggs by over/under cooking them, and wasting eggs when they wouldn't cooperate when peeling. Stop over thinking it and just buy one; you'll thank me later :).

Love it. It is compact but get the eggs cooked perfectly. Just add eggs, water, press the button and you have your eggs ready in minutes. Save time and don't have to watch over your eggs while cooking or to time your cooking. Perfect every time.

What a great addition to the kitchen. Makes better-than-boiled eggs. Yolks are moist and delectable, not dry and throat-clogging. Shells are perfectly simple to peel. Appliance is very small and very simple to use. Try to avoid putting in eggs with the slightest cracked shells though, as they will leak and cook outside the shell. Even with this happening, cleanup was so easy and there was little wasted. GET ONE!

I really like my egg cooker. It’s small so it doesn’t take up much counter space; it’s fast so eggs are done quick; and it’s very easy to clean. I wipe the plate with white vinegar and it leaves it looking new. I wish the tray for poached/scrambled eggs was bigger to accommodate more eggs; but I’m pleased with the way the eggs turn out and taste.

Perfect little tool for hard boiled eggs. Haven't used it for the other two styles but only complaint I would go with is 6 is just not enough (only reason it didn't get 5 stars) but it works quick enough where it isn't too problematic to just use it again. Cleans up really easy even thought it looks burnt.

Really simple and convenient, cooks six eggs in 6-9 minutes for soft or 15 minutes for hard boiled. Best part is that it beeps when the water is evaporated and eggs are ready! Not big or clunky either, best on $10(on sale) thing I own.

This thing is ridiculous. Got deal of the day for only 10 bucks, bought 2 of them. One to give away. Works flawlessly. Watch the youtube video. It is literally the best thing ever. I have 2 eggs boiled every morning and just take them to work with me. Takes about a minute to set up, and then cooks for 10 and turns itself off. I just turn it on and get ready for work. Throw the eggs in a tuperware and head to work. Shells come off easy. I have always struggled with this. Buy this! you would be crazy not to even at the normal price.

This product is great addition to kitchen and my wife loves it. Its very convenient to cook 6 eggs at once and it has a beeper to alert once its fully cooked. Very easy to use, just add water to the level indicated and then add any number of eggs from 1 to 6 and toggle the switch and its that easy. Color matches with other appliances with black and silver. Very attractive design. Beep is loud that I can hear from other room and doesn't stop until its unplugged. Overall it functions as advertised and happy with the purchase. Ordered online and picked in store and best buy is great to shop at. Purchase and you wont regret and will make your wifey happy.

Great product. Works well. Good quality. My kids love it to make egg salad. Usually cook all 6 eggs at one time and refrigerate leftover unpeeled eggs for a snack later. Cooks fast ~ 10 min for hard boiled eggs. Easy cleanup and small enough to store in the cabinet. Using distilled water prevents the heating coil from browning. Putting eggs into cold water bath after cooking makes it very easy to peel later. Not sure if I will use the omelette function. It makes great tasting omelets, but the cooking cup is a bit small to make it worth while.

such an amazingly simple product. I love making omelets w/this and adding chia seeds or spinach on top for extra nutrients! A healthier way of cooking as well.

I can never do poached eggs correctly, this does! It's so easy! I have yet to do a hard boiled egg. It's easy to clean and small enough to store off of the counter.

This works great and is very helpful for easy way of boiling the eggs. This is my second one. My kids eat egg in the morning everyday and it just takes 5min to get it done. Highly recommended. Only drawback is on the long run, the powerbutton stopped working. Which is why I purchased a new one. But the old one last for more than a year.

With this egg cooker, making hard boiled eggs is so easy! Another thing, the price. This is so inexpensive! After you get one you'll probably do what we did, buy them as gifts.
