Just want to highlight the Disappointing experience we had with Chefman air fryer. We bought 2 pieces, one for self and one for a friend. One piece got defective in initial few months. The one we were using also got defective recently. We have hardly used for 1 year as initially it was stored unused. When we approached Chefman they denied the fix or even replacement stating it crossed 1 year now. In case it can not be fixed and get defective in around 1 year timeframe, I don’t feel it is a good option to buy.

I was so excited to try this air fryer. I quickly cooked up some meatballs and French fries. Not what I expected. While the outside got crisp, the unit is more like a toaster oven than a fryer. I did like that there was no mess and the clean up was really easy. The size is big enough to fit two servings of anything. Also it takes a long time.. like the fries are 20 min. I’d prefer a toaster oven in the space this takes up.

if you’ve never used an air fryer before, then you really should consider adding this to your kitchen collection. You can make crispy skinned chicken, sweet potato fries, beet chips, and even achieve perfectly crispy and heated prepackaged foods from frozen. I recommend using an oil mister or the spray bottle oils they sell now to lightly coat your veggie fries and then sprinkle some herbs and salt. The light coating will help the herbs stick to the veggies and will help you get that crispy pseudo-fried texture. If you’re preparing food for 1-2 people- this is a perfect size. However if you need to prepare enough for more than 2 adults- then I’d plan on taking time to cook 2 batches or look for a larger capacity air fryer. The touch controls on this unit work seamlessly and give it a much more modernized look over the older analog control air dryers. This doesn’t take up much space on the counter and there’s enough room in the basket to add an entree and side dish together.

I can taste something that tastes like chemicals when I use this. I ended up using it only 2-3 times because I hated the possibility of ingesting chemicals.

    Healthy Frying

The Chefman TurboFry 3.7qt Digital Air Fryer is a magic cooker! I have always hated the mess and dangers that come with frying stuff in oil then having to dispose of it afterwards. Well no more, the TurboFry eliminates the dangers and mess and provides a healthier option for all my favorite foods! It was very simple to setup, pulled it out of the box and package, plugged it in after removing a few strips of tap and was ready to start frying after washing the insert tray. I looked at the included manual and gave temperatures times and recommended temperature. Cooking Test: I cooked some fries and they came out very crispy and delicious! The little bit of oils from the fries was collected in bottom of tray and just required a towel to wipe away the residue. I even tried cooking some chicken strips and they turned out just like a deep fryer would cook them! If you are looking for a healthier option and a device that is easy to clean this is the one for you!

Couldn't be happier with this little work horse. Works as advertised, though it will take a few tries to master. Compact design makes it easy to store. Basket is a good size and the ability to take it out to move food around while it's cooking provides for even cooking.

I got this air fryer for my parents. They have never used an air fryer before and were definitely missing out. This item is easy to use, very important for older adults and younger kids. I showed my mother how to use it, and off she went. She's been tossing everything she can think of in there, frozen fries, nuggets, egg rolls, bagel bites, and who knows what else lol. Everything has came out great. She loves the fact that is doesn't heat up the whole kitchen and dining area like the oven does (they don't have a toaster over either), especially this time of year. The fryer came with instructions for cooking and cleaning it. My mother has used the included guide to make chicken wings an even bacon. Both turned out perfect she said. Very simple little machine that is perfect for cooking not only frozen items, but apparently much more! Great gift for seniors as well as college students living in a dorm.

I bought this 'fryer' because I got caught up in the "air fryer" craze. Once home I first started 'frying' up some chicken. I was sadly disappointed in the results. I washed it up and returned it the next day. It probably works the way it was designed to work, but what it DOESN'T do is "fry" anything. Our oven has convection setting that accomplishes the same thing, and I don't have to find space to put this big "TurboFry" thing.

Bought in store, took home, plugged in, and didnt work. Returned the item with no issues, however they had none left in stock, so I ordered the same unit online. Was received the next day, plugged in and sensor malfunction...unit no good. Two of these units in two days.....JUNK. Probably the reason Best Buy had them as a deal of the day, rid their inventory of this garbage. Would highly recommend to not purchase this cheaply made unit.

Received the Air Fryer, read the instructions and put it to the test. The first test product was a frozen quiche from the grocery store. The air fryer is very quiet compared to my toaster oven I normally use. It cooked it very well. The outer crust was flaky and at a golden brown. It was also piping hot. The second test product was frozen waffle fries. Not so great here. The fries on top were golden brown and cooked all the way through. However, the fries at the bottom was soggy and not thoroughly cooked. Cleaning the air fryer after each use was very simple and quick. Bottom line, it's nice to have, but depending on what you're choosing to cook; it's hit or miss.

This CHEFMAN - TurboFry 3.7qt Digital Air Fryer was my first time owning an air fryer and I found it very easy to learn to use. There is nothing to assemble- the fryer comes ready to use once you wash the basket. The instructions are helpful and straightforward. My first experience was sweet potato fries. I coated them with olive oil and a little salt and cinnamon before frying. They were awesome! When you need to stir or flip the food while cooking, you pull the basket out, and the machine pauses. Once you push the basket back in, it resumes cooking. Very easy and intuitive. I can imagine this for someone who lives alone and wants to heat up or cook a small portion; this is an ideal kitchen tool.

I never thought about getting an air fryer until my coworker mentioning it. It made me so exciting when I first tried it... I hardly fry anything at our apartment because of the smoke and smell, so I use our oven quite often. The instructions were very easy to follow and the digital panel makes it so easy to use it too! My first test was with steak cut fries. It was crisp on the outside and soft inside. And better yet, no smoke or greasy smell. Simply perfect! The air fryer is simple to clean and is dishwasher safe, which is a plus! It came with a small recipe book that I can not wait to try! Overall I strongly recommend it.

I've been wanting one of these for a while now because I wanted the ability to cook those type of fried foods you can get out but I didn't want to ever bother getting nor dealing with a deep fryer. What I didn't realize until after I got this is that this thing can do SO much more. You can cook pretty much anything in here, fried based or not. So far we've tried frozen fries, frozen breaded shrimp, frozen bagel bites, frozen nuggets, fresh chicken cut up and put in a light flour coating, bacon, chicken wings, broccoli and even used the brussels sprout recipe from the book it came with. The most impressive thing above all which I also did not expect is this thing prepares foods at least twice as fast! There is no preheating and a lot of things take 10 minutes or less for things from the freezer that would normally take 20-30 minutes including the preheat time in the toaster oven/conventional oven. This air fryer is going to take such a huge load off of our toaster oven which we may have to replace a 2nd time in 8 years because of our heavy use of it. Just follow the general tips in the book and you can probably try almost anything with success. This thing has exceeded my expectations. Just a tip I want to offer though, while most of the time it's easy to clean, when making certain things or larger, more time consuming portions, food/oil can get stuck on the removable pan. I found letting it soak in a tray with hot water and soap helps a lot before scrubbing with a non abrasive sponge or brush. PROS: * No preheat, FAST cooking * Easy to clean (either rinse the pitcher/pan or can be thrown in the dishwasher) * Makes everything taste better! * Comes with a very handy quick start guide to help you judge various food cooking times and temperatures. * Comes with a small recipe book full of actual doable recipes, also an area for "notes" to jot down your discovered cooking times/temps. CON: * I honestly can't name one

I'll be the first to say, I am not the cooker in the family, my wife just has a talent for making great food. That being said, I tested this so I could see how easy it was based on a preview if pros and cons for this product. The price at the time of this review on Best Buy website is $79.99 and worth every penny of that. Friday Night Party, as I hosted the event, I was able to use the fryer for the following. 1. Mozzarella Sticks 2. Frozen Curly Fries 3. Taquito’s 4. Spring Rolls Now I know it does more than I have listed but this is my review. The unit is a Bit large, as I have a small kitchen so we hooked up in our patio and its great location for it. The unit is a fryer so it does get hot, so keep it out of reach of the kiddos. The controls are easy to use, and having the cookbook helps with time and portion sizes. The basics. It is an air fryer, so making sure you don’t over stuff the fryer with food it’s just not going to cook evenly. Air fryers need circulation so just keep that in mind. The Mozzarella sticks were first so I put them in Frozen and I like mine a bit over cooked (A bit Gooey, if you know what I mean) so I went a bit over the recommended time (I added 2 minutes to the timer) and I really liked the results, so A quick wipe and then the Frozen Taquito's next and used recommended time for this and though I am not a Taquito eater my Family loved it. Now On to the Spring Rolls. Same as the taquito's, use the recommended time on these as the results will vary as vegetables ingredients are more sensitive to the process of frying. The curly fries were a bit different. I put in what I thought would be plenty of circulation but in hindsight I may have over stuffed it on first try. The top was nice and brown and the middle was a bit raw, so I took out the completed top portion and added 3 minutes to the rest and it was great. All in all, I have nothing negative to add for the cooking process. The clean-up was also easy, Just give the unit a good wipe and the tray and the rack are dishwasher safe so supper easy to clean. I can honestly say this little guy will be a workhorse for us. Can’t wait to use it to re-heat something as I am sure the results will be great. I would recommend this to anyone, even college age kids would love to have this unit. It’s inexpensive and easy to use and clean.

My primary concern is that we had to flip food even in small batches to get it cooked evenly on both sides. Setup was easy and the operation is very simple. The nonstick tray cleans easily and the whole thing runs quietly. You can only adjust the temperature in increments of 25 degrees. This is my first air fryer so I don’t know if my experience is typical or if there are just better options out there. This one left me wishing for better performance.
