Don’t buy this. It broke 10 minutes into baking French fries. Followed all instructions. There’s no buttons. Its all touch screen. So trying to turn it back on or restart it was a joke.

Really sad about this purchase. It stopped working after 5 months and only used it a handful amount of times. Tried contacting chef man about the one year warranty and no replies. They’ve been in training everyday for three weeks.

This is the worst product ever, and I wish I'd never spent even a penny on it! Cheaply made, and not washable at all because it rusts and actual peelings of metal came off after ONE USE! Rip off!

This stopped working just after having it a year. The heating element went kaput. The tray also started peeling about 6 months in. Disappointed.

    Nice Fryer

So I have had this for two weeks now and cannot help but try and find things to fry or attempt to fry in it. First, the Chefman TurboFry's shape reminds me a little of an egg; with it's curved surfaces. But rest assured, it is no where near the size of an egg, I was actually surprised by how large it actually was. The TurboFry is approximately the size of a pod coffee maker. However, this size of the basket is smaller than one would expect based on the exterior appearance; approximately 4inches deep with around a 7 inch diameter. That said, it gets the job done. The touch screen display makes it super easy to adjust temperature and time. In fact, I was so surprised how simplistic the machine is; just set temp and time and then walk away and wait, that's it. Overall, the Chefman TurboFry is a great little machine and I see why everyone raves about air fryers. If I were to do it again, I might pass on the digital aspect as I am not sure the extra cost over analog controls is worth it.

    Nice air fryer but loud.

I have used this for a little bit and even though it cooks well its loud. The timer and cooking level dare easy to use. But as I checked with a good friend these can be loud. The directions and use are simple. Very easy to set up and use on the first time. Have not baked any cakes as they say you can. My main focus is for regular foods. Can cook meats from frozen. Slight adjustment in timers but not much. Did wings in 23 mins. Other food take less time and has fold flavor. One thing to note don't use lots of marinades or heavy wet seasonings. Makes a mess. I say I would not recommend it to a freind because the noise is way too loud but if you can stand it then it's a nice air fryer and cooks fast and healthy.

Disclaimer - I received this product free in exchange for a fair and unbiased review. The Chefman 3.7 quart air fryer, model RJ38-V3-35T, is a good little cooking appliance for those that either live on their own and want a quick way to make a healthy meal for themselves and for those looking to improve portion control and cook healthier on the foods and sides they love. The basket is easy to clean, it cooks quickly - though not as quickly as more powerful models, and it's compact size for it's capacity means it can live on your countertop without taking over your kitchen. First impressions: It's well-packaged, with less foam than my older - and larger - air fryer came with. initial setup was a snap. The matte finish of the housing is pleasant to look at and easier to keep clean than shiny plastic surfaces on other appliances. Touch controls are clear and easy to read, but a lack of built in "recipe" models like other brands have is a drawback. Dishwasher safe basket and tray fit easily in my top shelf while it's lowered, but people with non-adjustable dishwashers may have issues. My only worry is an all-plastic interior, where most air fryers have a metal plate their baskets sit while inserted. Usage: The Chefman is quieter than other air fryers I've used (both my own and those that friends have) since pressing time and temp buttons doesn't make it beep. The temperature setting is only in 25℉ increments, where my other unit is in 5℉ increments. The start/stop button is while while you're setting the unit and turns red when powered on. You cannot add time or adjust the cook temperature while it's powered on, unlike other air fryers. Performance: The two foods I cooked in the Chefman are two go-to foods in any house with kids - chicken fingers and tater tots. I was able to fit 7 chicken fingers into the machine and they needed 9 minutes to cook at 360℉, which seems reasonable enough. The tater tots needed 15 minutes at 400℉ to achieve a browned exterior. My other air fryer can complete the same tasks in 8 minutes and 12 minutes, respectively. Part of it might be a function of power; where the Chefman is only 1200 watts, the other one is 1700 watts. Other things I noticed: The Chefman lacks a cool down mode that most other air fryers have when their cook cycle completes. It did come with a cookbook separate of the instruction manual, which some air fryers lack. The manual also has a chart to give you guidance on how long some foods should cook in the air fryer, including beef, shellfish, and bacon. There are a few shortcomings that should be corrected in the next version. If it had a 1400 watt heating element, as an example, I think cooking times for some foods would be cut down by a matter of minutes. Also, if temperatures could be adjusted in 5 degree intervals and controls would work during cook cycles, that would be terrific. All in all, this isn't a bad little air fryer.
