So much easier than frying, cleaner than baking! Doesn't make a whole lot of noise, and if you follow the directions or high rated recipes online, you get wonderfully cooked/crispy food without extra fat from oil!

My wife and I don't cook very often but when we do we typically use the oven and or grill. When we received the air fryer, we decided to try to make some chicken and we were surprised how easy it was to use! You simply set the time and recommended temperature per the suggested recipes, place the chicken in and wait until it's done. It was quick and easy to use and the chicken tasted amazing. I would highly recommend purchasing for easy, tasty meals.

We’ve only had a chance to cook a few things, but so far the results have been mostly good. Using the included recipes, we have cooked chicken nuggets, spiced shrimp and battered green beans. For anything that’s intended to be “fried”, some spray oil is required to get the fried effect. Panko bread crumbs and egg are the go-to breading in the recipes. Both the chicken and shrimp were very good. The beans were so-so at best, but I struggled with the breading. The unit cooks fast (typically 5-15 minutes), but as far as size, it’s a one or two-person cooker. If you have a family to feed, I suggest buying a larger unit. It may be called out as 3.7 quarts, but with many things, you can only cover the 8” round grill with food. The chicken took 10 minutes and the shrimp 5. Even at that, I’ll cut the time down a little the next time. Most things require a shake or stirring up halfway through to get even cooking. It came well packaged, and it’s decent looking in a small black keg sort of way. I say it’s generally the size of a slow cooker. The controls are digital and let you set time and temperature. There are no presets for various types of food, so you need to use a recipe or trial and error. It’s moderately loud, and a fair amount of heat exhausts at the rear, so it needs to be pretty much out in the open when running. It’s great for small to moderate batches of healthy food (compared to deep or pan frying). It’s fast and uses less energy than an oven or stove. I’m planning on trying more variety of foods since to see just what all it can do.

I was skeptical an air fryer without deep frying and a LOT of oil would work well, but this Chefman TurboFry has made me a believer. I battered some fish for fish tacos, tossed them into the CHEFMAN TurboFry and they were delicious. I had no idea how easy to cook and clean fried food like this could be. Happy to have found this CHEFMAN 3.7 unit, I wish it was bigger but for the compact size and easy to clean nature I couldn't be happier!!!

Uses less energy than an oven and microwave, not to mention significantly less time when compared to the former. And, does a much better job of giving you an even "cook" when compared to the latter. No hot spots, no cold spots, just nice evenly cooked *whatever* you happen to put in it. We have tried frozen as well as thawed fries, burgers, chicken, and a large variety of sliced vegetables to make chips out of. Have yet to be disappointed in what this little thing can do. As others have stated, it cooks quite a bit quicker than some of the suggested times in the book. Some have mentioned or even posted photos of under-cooked chicken or other such meals...don't know, I've yet to experience such a thing. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that some may have had the temp too high and cooked too short thus giving a nice golden skin, but not enough temp/time to cook all the way through. There's an art to finding the balance and method behind all things meal prep, especially with new "gadgets"...this being no different. A slightly lower temp for a slightly longer period of time would likely yield better results to those finding themselves in such situations. Can't dabble with something only once or twice and just write it off...have to test it out and experiment. At MSRP ($80) it's a solid recommendation. If it ever goes on sale it's a no-brainer.

Nice air fryer with some minor cons

So this air fryer works great and does help keep the calories down. Cooking times are relatively fast as well and food tastes great. It also provides a little recipe book but you can find much more recipes online. The fryer is very small though. I normally cook meals for the next 2 to 3 days cuz i meal prep and this only allows me to cook for 1 maybe 2 days. I don't have much time to cook so having to cook my meals for the next few days if important to me. Also it's kinda a pain to clean as well. The tray where the food sits has a bunch of skinny openings and trying to clean every one is tedious because i don't want any extra food sitting in between those slits over night. I found that Clorox wipes work rather well. Other than that, it's great for one person who wants to come home and cook one meal relatively quick and healthier. Just keep in mind the clean up and storage of the unit afterwards...

    Finally died after 2.5 years

Purchased in July 2020, finally stopped working after months of gradually taking longer and longer to reach full power (air movement). It was cheap so not too mad about it, just thought it would last more than 2.5 years
