This has exceeded my expectations. Yes it’s pricey but worth it. It cooks your food evenly. I was looking for a power off button which it doesn’t have. It turn off after some time of non usage. So just a heads up.

CONTROL PANEL:
The control panel is a touch pad and very easy to use. It is recommended to pre-heat for five minutes to help frying process and promoting crispier results. Have the food ready to put into the basket after the five minute pre-heat. It would have been nice if it had a pre-heat mode button. It is very basic with 4 pre-set modes – Fish, Fries, Chicken and Meat. The instructions mention a “SHAKE” light indicator on the control panel that will turn on and will beep as a reminder to shake or flip the food when necessary. If you don’t want to use this indicator, just ignore the beep and shake as you see fit. The air fryer will turn off by itself when it is done.
SIZE:
The 8 quart size is great for a large family, for entertaining or cooking a whole meal for a smaller family. It does take up a lot of counter space, but no more so than a small microwave. It is nice to be able to spread out foods for crisping, rather than having them crowded together…this makes a BIG difference in the food and in cooking time.
CLEANING:
The basket rack and basket are very easy to clean with a little soap and water. The basket and rack are dishwasher safe, but only place on the top dishwasher rack.
UNPACKING:
I believe you need to remove the 4 rubber protectors from the basket rack to be able to place the rack into the basket or it seems to fit too tight and needs to be forced into place or pulled on hard upon removal. I was afraid the rack protectors would burn if they are just rubber (not sure if they are silicone or not) and question if they were meant to be removed before use. The instructions that come with it do not mention these at all, but the basket rack and basket are packed separately and I assumed because it wouldn’t fit that the rubber protectors did not belong on it. The basket rack only seems to fit one way into the basket or it will scratch the non-stick coating without the rubber tips. So, I will be very careful using it without the rubber protective tips for the basket rack until I find out for sure if these are not safe to be in the air fryer because of heat and then question the integrity of the protectors with heat.
MAX LINE:
The instructions say to make sure any food put into the basket does not go above the embossed MAX line, however, no one in my family could find a MAX line on the basket anywhere. So, just make sure to not over-fill the basket or there is the possibility of the food touching the heating coils.
CONS:
I wish it did come with a recipe booklet of some sort. The instructions could be better defined, such as letting you know about removing packing and if the rubber protectors on the basket rack should be removed or left on so as not to scratch the non-stick inside the basket. As mentioned above, I could not get the rack to fit in the basket with the rubber protectors on. I thought protectors were to stay on to protect the non-stick coating of the basket, but found with removing them that the rack fit much better and wasn’t forced in.
RECOMMENDATION:
As far as cooking, I have to say that they have come a LONG way from my older, other brand air fryer in comparison to this one. With the other older air fryer, I didn’t find items to be very crisp at all, no matter what I did. This makes everything very crispy, as if they were really fried. (I do believe that a mist of oil helps the crisping process and you only need a mist of oil to accomplish the crispiness). I happen to have an oil mister that I got for oil and vinegar for my salads and it works great.
THREE STARS:
I am only giving this product 3 stars because of the following: Poor instructions. No MAX line on the basket for filling. Shake light and beep did not go off when instructions stated (every 5 minutes for Fries). Pre-heat button would be nice to have. Any sort of cooking recipes would have been helpful.

Chefman TurboFry Touch Air Fryer is a great appliance to cook air fry foods for healthier eating with little to no oil compared to the deep fryer. This new model stainless steel version of 8 qt XL looks very modern, contemporary on the countertop compared to the pervious version that was in black and oval shape. Matches to other stainless appliance on the kitchen and gets a 10/10 for the look and design.
What is in the box:
Chefman Turbo Fry Touch Air Fryer , Basket rack, User guide, Quick Start Guide.
Setup: Very Simple. No assembly required. Just unpack and insert the basket rack in the basket by pulling out the handle. Just plug the power cord and the dash displays 400F and toggles between the time to set. By default, air fryer is set to 400F and 15 minutes. There are four preset buttons like Fish, Fries, Chicken and Meat for quick setting. It has a temperature increase or decrease button, start button and stop/cancel button. We just hit the start button to preheat the fryer and it quickly started. After 5 minutes, opened the basket rack but pulling and the unit was paused. Just added the corn to test the unit and once the basket is fully inserted back, the machine started the timer from where it left and started the cooking process.
This model comes with a new feature Shake light that comes on and beeps as remainder to shake or flip the food as necessary when its cooking halfway through. If the time is set for 20 minutes then the shake light comes at 10 minutes just to remind to turn the food to even cooking.
It does take little longer compared to convectional oven but it tastes good and is very healthy.
Cleanup: Unplug and let it cool before cleaning and remove the basket to clean with soapy water, rinse and dry. Its not dishwasher safe and not recommended for dishwasher.
Pros: Easy to use, clean and cook faster and healthy food. Very nice attractive stainless. XL 8quart.
Overall, very happy with the turbofry touch digital air fryer and highly recommend it.

The Chefman IQ 8qt digital air fryer is a gorgeous looking appliance that is sleek, modern and elegant looking all at the same time. Unfortunately, the functionality of this air fryer is not up to the same standard as the design. It has a beautifully designed touch panel display that is bright, clear and easy to use, but that is where the functionality stops. The touch panel is unresponsive beyond the first couple of presses and lags badly. After some playing around with it more, it just is slow to respond, I must wait a good second between presses to change the time or the temperature. I supposed this is something I can get used to but hopefully they can improve the responsiveness of the touchscreen. This air fryer has an exceptionally large basket that can hold plenty of chicken wings, enough for a dinner for myself and wife and plenty of leftovers for lunch the next day. It does work well as an air fryer and has all the features that you expect it to have, such as, presets (chicken, fries, fish, etc.). Temperatures range from 200 to 400 degrees and the exhaust fan on the back does not put out that much heat, so I believe it is safe to keep under my cabinets without harming the wood. Clean up was also a breeze and I was nearly able to clean up the entire mess with just hot water and soap and I did not have to use my sponge to clean it. Over time I am sure the non-stick coating will degrade and that will change, but it is dish washer safe so that might be the best way to clean it so you don’t have to scrub anything to help preserve that finish. I think overall, I could not recommend this to a friend in this version, I think an analog version would be much better and I feel that someone might get frustrated at the touch screen response time.
Pros:
XL 8 Qt basket
Food taste
stainless steel design
Ease of use
Noise
Cons:
Capacitive touch response time

Chefman
I love air fryer they are so simple to use! with this new Chefman Chef IQ air fryer i’m deff cooking more meals, plus it’s done in no time!
Pros
- with the stainless steal design it looks clean, i’m glad they went with this, all my kitchen equipment I try to surround them with stainless steal look
- simple touch screen menu, you have option for fish, fries, chicken , and other type of meat
- double pressing the middle button will set you from temperature to timer, it’s a very well done machine, very simple and easy to pick up the controls
- during the cooking process the machine will tell you it’s time to shake the meal, so I opened it up and give it a little shake and put it back to continue the rest of the timer.
- I have an older air fryer that have double button, a button for the tray that’s inside which sometimes I end up pressing and dropping the whole pan, i’m glad that chefman only have a single button to pull the tray pan without worrying about dropping the second part
- cleaning the tray is very easy I have the 8 quarts version and It’s big enough also gives me enough space to clean it with ease
- the power cord is along fairly long
Cons
- not much negative things you could say about the air fryer, but one thing I notice after checking it out, the top portion of stainless steal seems to be not as solid compared to the rest of the body, I can literally drum and make beat out of it, ok I know that’s a terrible joke but you get what I mean.
Overall a wonderful product from Chefman, if you guys enjoy or wanted to try cooking on air fryer i’d recommend this one, great design, sleek and it performs!

Quicker and healthier than frying with oil

The Chefman Chef IQ 8 Quart Digital Air Fryer is a great addition to anyone’s kitchen if you’re looking to fry with less or no oil. It is a nice, modern looking unit that would go well with any decor, especially with black or stainless steel appliances. It is as simple as it gets - you put the food on the rack in the basket and slide the basket inside the air fryer. You can take the easy route and use one of the easy digital presets that pick both the temperature and timer for Fish, Fries, Chicken or Meat. That should work for most standard ingredients. At even intervals through the timer, the Fryer will remind you to “shake” or perhaps flip the meat. It may or may not be necessary, but it could help cook some things a bit more evenly. Alternatively you can set your own temperature, generally recommended between 325 F to 400 F which will cook most foods or you can experiment with lower temps to avoid overcooking or just reheating already cooked foods. With some frozen foods, it may work better if you pre-heat the Fryer for about 5 minutes, but it’s not required. I cooked some frozen sweet french fries and came out great, better than some restaurant fries and only took 20 minutes. I also cooked some Salmon lightly dipped in egg/flour and Panco bread crumbs (see pics) and came out great! I used the preset fish option that cooked it at 350 F in 10 minutes and did not use any oil. It would have taken a lot longer to preheat the range oven and cook the same fish, and would have consumed a lot more electricity in the process. Cleaning was very easy, just rinsed it with warm, soapy water, nothing stuck to either the rack or the basket. The manual says the basket and rack are dishwasher safe in the top rack, so that’s nice too. The 8-quart I’m reviewing here is pretty big and bulky, about 13" H x 12" W x 14" D including the basket handle, so if you have a small kitchen and no room to use or store it, then you should probably get the smaller versions.
All in all, if you don’t mind frying smaller portions than you would in a full-size oven and want to get it done more quickly, less greasy and with less electricity, this could be an useful addition to your kitchen.

This air fryer is easy to use and the number of recipes that can be found online is endless.
Cleanup is extremely easy.
It does take up quite a bit of space on my counter or storage space in my pantry, but It is worth it.
We have used it almost every day this past week. I have the 8 quart and it is big enough for feeding our family of three.
To make things even easier, it comes with 4 pre-set buttons: Fish, Fries, Chicken and Meat.
You can of course tweak the temp and time from there, but so far, they seem to work well.
Just made some chicken from it before this review, and wow, juicy and tender.
I would highly recommend this product.

I would not buy this item again! The size is perfect for a big family! Just be careful when you first get it. There’s a large black sticker in the front that leaves sticky residue you will struggle to remove even with goo gone. Ours got all scratched up before we even used it once. Customer service was of no help either!

Chefman TurboFry XL 8 Quart Air Fryer: A Powerful
|

I recently purchased the Chefman TurboFry XL 8 Quart Air Fryer, and I must say it has exceeded my expectations in many ways. This sleek and stylish stainless steel air fryer has become an essential appliance in my kitchen. Here is my comprehensive review of the Chefman TurboFry XL.
Firstly, the 8-quart capacity is fantastic. It provides ample space to cook for my entire family in a single batch. Whether I'm preparing crispy French fries, juicy chicken wings, or even roasted vegetables, this air fryer can handle it all without any overcrowding issues.
The digital touchscreen interface is user-friendly and easy to navigate. It offers a variety of preset cooking options, which have proven to be incredibly convenient. With just a few taps, I can select the appropriate preset for the dish I'm cooking, and the TurboFry XL takes care of the rest. This feature takes the guesswork out of cooking times and temperatures, ensuring consistent and delicious results every time.
One standout feature of the TurboFry XL is the shake reminder. This handy feature alerts you to shake or flip the food halfway through the cooking process. It helps to ensure that the food is evenly cooked and prevents any potential sticking or burning. I appreciate this reminder, as it saves me from constantly keeping track of the cooking time and having to manually shake the basket.
In terms of performance, the Chefman TurboFry XL delivers excellent results. The powerful 1700-watt heating element quickly heats up the fryer, and the hot air circulation system ensures even and thorough cooking. I have been impressed with how crispy and evenly cooked my food turns out, without the need for excessive oil. The air frying technology used in this appliance is truly remarkable.
Cleaning the TurboFry XL is also a breeze. The non-stick fryer basket and tray are removable and dishwasher safe, making cleanup a quick and hassle-free process. The exterior of the air fryer is easy to wipe clean, and the stainless steel finish adds a touch of elegance to my kitchen countertop.
One minor downside I've noticed is that the air fryer can be a bit noisy during operation, especially when the fan is running at full speed. However, considering the excellent cooking results it produces, I'm willing to overlook this minor inconvenience.
In conclusion, the Chefman TurboFry XL 8 Quart Air Fryer is a top-notch kitchen appliance that offers convenience, versatility, and outstanding performance. It has become an essential tool for healthier cooking in my household, and I highly recommend it to anyone in search of an air fryer that can handle larger batches of food without compromising on quality.

So far, so good! I have only used it twice, but I like it. I made a 3lb netted turkey breast and it came out perfect. I tried chicken breast and it came out good, but I think I should have used the "bake" function instead of the "air fry" function. That's on me, though. Huge basket! Easy to clean! This is my first air fryer and would buy this model again.

After 4 months the metal plate started to rust. It’s the color orange and brown. I only use the air fryer 2 a week and so far this is a bad experience. Since the medal rust the smell of lead is intense so I unplugged it. I will be throwing it in the garbage. I wasted $130 on this. Save your money and get a better quality air fryer.
