I really do like this straightener, curler combo from Chi. I think it is a good value since it costs under one hundred dollars. Most Chis if you buy them from a beauty supply store cost much more. The only downside, (and why I have given it only four stars) is that when I turn it up any higher than 395 degrees it leaves my hair smelling strange and the smell is hard to get out.

I bought to replace another chi iron that finally died. Thinking this was a great deal since I could use it as a flat iron or curling iron. It performed less than average and never really gave the look I was used to getting when I curled my hair. Plus it rips your hair out as you pull the iron from the curls. It snags your hair on the ends of the iron and pulls them out.

The plates are too small. If the plates were 1in on bigger it would have been better.

Items works great, the only thing I don’t like is the location of the power button. I hit it often and it shuts off and I don’t realize it.

This straightener and curling iron design is seemingly flawless on paper. I bought it because I thought it would save me time and space in my bathroom. AND IT DOES but it also is extremely easy to burn yourself with this device. Since the sides heat up too, your forehead or ears sometimes fall in the crossfire. Other than that it does fantastic!!

I returned this product only because the plates seemed to short. It will be perfect for someone with short or medium length hair, not long hair. but other wise a good product

The iron gates a hot very quickly and works well and consistent.
