    I've used Chi irons for years and wouldn't use anything else. However, the plates on this one didn't touch at one end. As a result, it wouldn't straighten the hair that went through that end of the plates. I don't know if this was a problem just with the particular unit that I had or if it's with this model in general, but I returned it.
