Excellent way to hide cords on patio TV installations! Highly recommend!!

I used this to mount my projector, and I'm glad I did. Pros: Made of good strong material. Four nice recessed screw cavities with included matching washers. Perfect 1.5" NPT set perfectly perpendicular to the celling. No plumbing floor flange is made this true. Cons: None that I can think of. I did need to make a small cut (using a jig saw with metal blade) so my cables could go directly into the attic because this unit is designed for surface exit (of the wires) flush with celling. Summary: Buy it and use it. You will be glad you did. I used 3.5" deck screws to firmly attached to the celling. No junction box needed. I mounted directly through the sheetrock into a firm joist (and added two-by lumber as needed above the sheetrock.) I installed a 120v plug and made all wire connections in the attic. 1/7/24 I ordered from Best Buy online, BBY01-806902428053 - the three Chief projector mounting components, necessary to ceiling mount my SonyVPLXW5000ES 4K HDR Laser home theater projector. They are: Chief projector mount, Chief ceiling plate and Chief adjustable column 1/13/24 - Via UPS: Received ceiling plate only (BB email delivery confirmation of such) 1/16/24 - Email received from BB, indicating Chief projector mount is delayed. 1/16/24 - Via UPS: Received only adjustable column (BB email delivery confirmation of such). Email confirmation AND my online order page shows that only the two items were delivered - not the projector mount! Later on 1/16/24 - On BB online account order page, it was changed to show that Chief projector mount was delivered on 1/13/24 along with the ceiling plate) IT WAS NOT DELIVERED! At this point, I decided to return the two items. But, I could not return a projector mount I did not receive. Get my problem here? 1/16/24 - 2/13/24 (Keep in mind, when calling BB Customer Service, they told me I could NOT return till order was complete) I mounted my projector on a shelf unit as I could not wait any longer to use my projector. Called on 1/22, 1/26, 1/27, 1/29, 2/5, 2/8 and 2/13. BB customer service, letting them know I DID NOT RECEIVE THE CHIEF PROJECTOR MOUNT, only the ceiling plate and adjustable column AND each time the online BB rep indicated not to worry. Their responses:: “Don’t worry, there is a glitch in the system” “Don’t worry, your return dates can be extended on the items by the time the Projector mount arrives, you will get an exception” “Don’t worry, BB can give you a credit for the stress and trouble you are experiencing”, “I know you want to return the items, I hear you when you say you are upset, but you cannot return the items until you have your entire order in hand” “You cannot return to the store, you have to work through us” “Don’t worry, it will arrive”, AND then the last straw“It shows it was delivered” 1/25/24 my credit card was charged for the Chief projector mount, which I had NOT received. See above for my responses when I was letting them know I did not have it! Note on 1/26/24 when speaking to the BB customer service rep, they told me to put in for a refund. A refund of something I have not gotten, but shows I received. How do I get a refund when I don’t have the items I was charged for!? They had no answers. The rep took my complaint/refund request to BB indicating that I had NOT received the projector mount, but was charged for it and why the heck was my online order page changed showing it was delivered on the 16th, along with the ceiling plate - when it was not. 2/6/24 - Projector mount was delivered by UPS On 2/13/24 I got a BB response via email from a Jack, with BB investigations, saying that it was delivered on 2/6/24 and therefore I had no complaint and no refund would be issued. 2/13/24 I called one last time and spoke with a BB customer service rep and told her I wanted to return all the items now that I have all three parts from the order. She told me that it shows I am out of the return date on them all and they cannot make an exception! We debated this for a while and she stood firm. She said online it shows the deliveries of all items were made on 1/13 and 1/16 and they cannot make an exception. So, I went into the store that day and got a refund on all three items. Last insult was that they charged me an extra 3% sales tax on my return, rather than the lower tax rate that my house is in, where I received the items. This was the most stressful, frustrating shopping experience with Best Buy I could imagine having. The customer service persons will promise, lie and do a horrible job. They empathize verbally and take a lot of the time on the call doing so. I don’t need empathy, I need resolution and honesty, which they cannot provide!!

Serves the purpose of mounting the projector easily

I got this item for ceiling mounting my new Sony projector and bypass a ceiling mounted light in the way and it worked great.

This is a very solid base for anything you want to connect it to. I have a Chief speed connect extension column along with Chief RPMA281 for JVC NX5. It doesn't include 3/4 lag screws that you can buy cheap at any hope depot. Overall, solid stuff from Chief.

Was a perfect replacement mount for my Epson 1440 projector.

Got this as the support for a chief system to hoid a projector from a ceiling. Easy to install and if done right it's rated for 500lbs. It does not come with the screws to mount it to the ceiling, but does include the washers for it. Pre-drill for thew screw holes, and mount. It has an opening to feed in cables that's a good size. Worked with a Chief adjustable pipe with no problems. Easy setup and it holds well.
