    Goodbye Roku, Hello Google!

What can I say? I absolutely LOVE Google products, I have a whole range of Google/Nest products and they never disappoint and this Chromecast with Google TV doesn’t either! The picture and sound quality is great and since it has the Google Assistant built-in, it makes for a great addition to any Google powered Smart Home! It has all the major streaming apps for video and music (Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, YouTube, Pandora, etc.) Super easy to use and even easier to set up, just plug it in and follow the on-screen or Google Home app instructions. Definitely better than a Roku stick or Amazon Fire stick, especially if you tend to favor Google products. Plus, you can use the Google Assistant button on the remote to issue commands to your connected smart home products without having to say “Hey Google”. It’s definitely an upgrade from a regular Chromecast because all the apps are built into the device instead of casting them from your phone to the screen. 10/10 would HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This thing is hard to beat for the price and the features. Connects to all my streaming services, great picture quality and speed. The remote is awesome for controlling both streaming and my TVs. I have these on a few different TVs and it just works on all of them.

Worth replacing a current Chromecast over

Totally worth the $15 increase from the Chromecast. This is literally a Chromecast but better in every way. The remote is well designed and easy to use, and the Google TV software is nice. There's a little bit of a learning curve, but if you've used Android-type products you'll be well suited with this device, it's by no means difficult to use once you set it up with all of your accounts. $50 is a genuine bargain and I couldn't be happier. I'm shocked that they even got Prime video on it since Amazon and Google are rivals in this field. I'm guessing it's related to the fact that this software seems more Android OS than Chromecast OS since Amazon's apps are all on Android. Whatever it is, this device is well worth the price. If you have a Chromecast and are wondering if it's worth replacing it with this, I'd definitely say so. Unless you barely use the Chromecast you are currently using, its absolutely worth the money in my opinion.

This was the best $50 spent! We were having issues with our Vizio remote not working and our TV kept shutting off by itself for about 2-3 seconds, then it would come back on, right where it shut off. It was so annoying and so was the remote! I could not get it to FF or rewind. I was so frustrated! So, I purchased this Google Chromecast and we have had no issues! It was super easy set up, just plug it in and follow the prompts! The remote is very user friendly and using YouTube TV as our TV streaming service, it automatically brings up the guide when you scroll over to LIVE TV. A lot of the apps were already pre-loaded. But the picture quality . . . is fantastic!! We have noticed a much sharper brighter picture now. I can also ask my Google Home to turn on the TV to the station we want and also ask Google to turn of the TV! I highly recommend this purchase!!

This is the upgrade to the Chromecast I have been waiting for. I began cutting the cord in my home around 2012 and when the Chromecast originally released in 2013, it is the product I had been waiting for. No remote, cast practically anything from my phone to my TV, couldn't ask for anything else. I have purchased every generation of the Chromecast and as time went on, I realized there was something missing...a remote. So when Chromecast with Google TV (Sabrina) was announced i pre-ordered three the first day, unfortunately I only got 2 because the Sky color never became available. Not only did I realize that I was missing the remote, but the interface with Google TV was also what I was missing. Sure, you have Fire TV and Roku, of which I have purchased all of them, but non of them worked for me. With what Google knows about me and my family, the recommendations offered to me is exactly what I am looking for. And for 50$, why not buy it.

This is an amazing streaming device and is by far the best out at the price point. Sure you can drop some serious cash and buy 1 that is 4 times the price with maybe higher specs but this thing for the price is KILLER. Old chromecast will work when you cast video from your device. NOT this one. This is a Streaming Device on its own and runs google Newest OS for Tv Streaming. What does this mean?? It has the Google play store. All your apps are there that you are used to using on your phone. 4k, HDR and the remote is awesome. Has google assistant and can control your other devices. FYI this will not Officially support stadia unless you download the APK which it will the work but will be officially support next year. ALSO this will run XBOX Game Pass for CLOUD Streaming. I was play Gears of war and Halo on this! Its amazing and will change your life go buy this you will be happy you did

I have a Sony H950 and I love the functionality of it. As I connected the Chromecast, I was afraid that it would function differently. Luckily, it is very similar, and I'm happy with it. Super easy to connect and setup. Don't get discouraged if it takes some time to setup. It's worth the wait; you can apply all your current apps. The buttons on the remote easily click and make it easy to change between apps or rewind/forward. Google Assist is very useful and seamlessly works when searching videos, movies or music. Storage is limited. I don't download a lot of apps, but you can search Youtube for videos on how to increase storage via usbc smart hub. I have a video on my "watch later" list just in case i decide to increase storage. I would recommend this unit. Cheers!

The Chromecast with Google TV strikes an excellent balance between price and functionality. Its combination of 4K HDR support, a robust app ecosystem, voice assistant integration, and seamless content aggregation makes it a standout choice for streaming enthusiasts. While minor limitations exist (e.g., limited storage), these are outweighed by its overall performance and value. Whether you're upgrading an older TV or seeking a more user-friendly streaming experience, the Chromecast with Google TV is highly recommended for its versatility and affordability.

Best streaming device out there by far

Bought this to replace my X-Box One S, which at this point I was only using for the streaming features, so it was a bit of overkill. I definitely prefer the Google TV interface over casting from a phone like previous Chromecasts -- just feels more natural and the ease of use is welcomed. A couple of times I've had to unplug it and reboot when it became unresponsive, but that's rare. I don't use the remote much, I just programmed my Logitech remote to operate it. I do love how you can search Google for a show on your phone/computer, and the result will have an "Add to watchlist" button to click, and it will instantly show up on your Google TV watchlist -- I use that all the time. I tried using it for Stadia, but you have to sideload the app, and it's cumbersome to get it going, so if you plan to do that, wait for the official release of that app for this device. Overall, for the price, it's the best streaming device out there. They really knocked it out of the park with this iteration of the Chromecast.

This Chromecast blows the competition out of the water. The Chromecast functionality alone has always been a really convenient feature that none of the other streaming sticks have. With the casting you can cast any video any movie and anything you want from any app or website. But if you like it old school then Google TV offers every streaming app because it uses the google play store. It is fast. The interface makes it so easy to find things to watch from different streaming servers. I have 0 complaints. You can even run video games from the xbox and ps4 by streaming them via their respectable apps. You can emulate retro games as well. The remote is awesome and can control any TV or speaker via IR or CEC. I am extremely happy with m purchase.

It's very easy to use. The remote can turn the TV on which was great for our old TV with a remote that wasn't working right anymore so basically got a free TV remote with this. The home screen brings up your recent things from all apps which is super convenient and the dedicated YouTube button is great since that the main use for us. Casting works no problem to watch something our phone.

I'm not a fan of the LG tvs interface, so I got these for all my tvs. They are so much faster and improve the picture greatly. The continue watching feature makes jumping back into whatever you were watching a breeze. Rather than having to open the app and go back to what uou were previously watching, everything is in one place on the home screen.

The Google Chromecast is an excellent choice when looking for A 4K streaming device. Especially when trying to load third party apps that are not from the Play store. Every app that I've installed has worked flawlessly and faster then any of the Android TV boxes or Amazon or Roku devices that you for sale all over the web and stores. The speed and efficiency of this device hands down surpasses the Amazon fire stick, fire cube and the Roku 4K. I would say this device is most comparable to the Nvidia shield pro since I own both. This is one of the only few devices that's running Android TV that's under $100. If you don't know what the difference is between Android TV OS VS the stock version of Android OS, may I suggest you doing some research and educating yourself on the difference. If you're looking for content without having to pay a monthly fee look no further there's plenty of applications that come preloaded with lots of live TV, movies and series choices. Not to mention Google will be dropping a free service with 50 free live channels some time later this year or early next year. I consider myself an avid movie and series watcher. Whether it's on Netflix HBO go or a third party application that's not from the Google Play store this by far is the device you've been searching for. Also this is the only device where the operating system does receive updates. I have been using this device for over a year this is the seventh one that I bought from Best buy. I give these out as gifts to family and friends.

I was interested in checking this out. I already have an Nvidia Shield TV which is very similar to Google TV on Android. The layout for this Chromecast is good, simple and easy to use. I do like that Google has multiple color options even tho most are always sold out, so I settled on the white one. The interface is customizable meaning you can place whatever apps you want on the screen layout in your favorite order. Also, voice prompts are spot on and are very accurate. The remote is about the size of a male's wallet. It does support 4k which is a good thing. I do wish Google put more than 8gb's of storage on it tho. I feel like long term, I may run out of space for my apps. But overall, I like this Chromecast 4k a lot better than the older Chromecast. This one allows you to not only cast content to a tv like the old ones do, but it has Google TV built into it. So in essence its a two in one device all for $40.

My boomer parents haven't had to call me for tech support on this one since I set it up. 10/10 dead simple media device that does EVERYTHING. My parents really like that they can search for something to watch and get results from every streaming service at the same time. Hulu, netflix, cbs, hbo, amazon prime, google play movies/tv, and more all feel like ONE interface. A monkey could search for shakespeare plays on this and you won't need an infinite number of them to figure out the controls. It's also a powerful and fast experience, you could even play video games on this and it'll handle it like a champ.

So far I've really enjoyed using the chromecast with google TV. The performance is top-notch - apps load quickly and animations are smooth. This device supports up to 4k 60hz with HDR, making it future proof. Under the hood, it runs android TV which means you have access to a huge selection of apps in the play store. The remote, while small, works just fine and can control both a TV and sound system through either CEC or IR. Having the option to either run apps on the chromecast directly or cast it from a phone is super convenient and gives you the best of both worlds. At a price of $50 you can't beat the chromecast with google TV.
