Chromecast with Google TV 4K is fantastic. The setup was quick and easy, and the interface is clean and intuitive. Streaming in 4K HDR looks stunning, and having all my favorite apps in one place makes it super convenient. The included remote is a huge improvement over older Chromecast versions.

Really was kind of skeptical at first because I had a regular chromecast and wasn’t too happy with the whole “have to download the apps and sync with the phone” thing but this one has the remote and I love how I can access all of my shows, apps, and everything from one screen. It’s very useful and easy to set up and use. Wasn’t disappointed at all.

This has to be the best dashboard I've come across and I have played with LG, samsung, roku, fire. The dashboard does a great job at customizing your preference and recommended shows and movies located in all streaming media programs all in one place. It's very easy to use. Makes old tvs feel new. Highly recommended.

This is probably the best streaming "stick" you can buy on the market in this price range. It's much faster than the amazon fire TV sticks and it's apparent when clicking through menus. Setup is super easy like most google products and I don't regret my purchase!

Purchased this because I have YouTube TV and my Roku Ultra still lacks the HBO Max app so I thought I'd give it a try.
I really like the Chromecast with Google TV. It's great for YouTube TV because the Live Guide has more info than the guide in the YouTube TV app which is weird. I like that it gives suggestions from my Hulu, Netflix and HBO Max streaming accounts and you can go directly to the program rather than through the app, thus saving time. Picture quality has been good. It even gives me suggestions for programs that are on my YouTube TV DVR and YouTube videos.
My only complaints would be that there is no wired connection option as with the Roku Ultra but I have not had any buffering issues. Also, the remote feels really light compared to the Roku remote which is heavier and just feels more substantial in your hand. It also takes a few seconds to wakeup if the TV has been off for a bit. The Roku Ultra seems a tiny bit faster getting to the main menu, but then you have to enter the app you want to watch so in the end I think the Chromecast is faster but I have not actually sat there with a watch and timed it.
Setup was easy. Casting is easy.
I'd buy another if there are any Black Friday deals this year.

I bought it to replace my mothers Cable box...
She very technologic impaired...(she's 65)
The interface is pretty simple for her to understand (once I put it in app mode)
It's responsive
the control could have better placement for the vol buttons
Set up was simple
But over it does what it needs to do...
Save me money on my cable bill..

For my use, the best balance between Fire TV, Roku and Google services. Nice front end with remote so you can use it like a Roku, but also super convenient to Chromecast from my phone. Plus, I can control my TV using Google Assistant much more seamlessly than connecting to LG's service etc. Easy setup out of the box too. Good bang for the buck.

Skeptical first about the white because I meant to buy this for my WeMax UTS prjector. But the build quality is nice. The set-up was so easy and fast. The remote is super responsive. I think, for the price, I paid $39.99 sale price, it was a super-value buy.

I have been a Chromecast user for a long time, but it was never my primary device because I never loved having to control it using my phone. This new Chromecast solves that with the inclusion of a remote and it is wonderful! I love the interface and it has actually replace my Roku. A few software updates and I think this thing will be near perfect!!

Slowly but surely I've been moving away from Apple into the Google ecosystem. I'm not a fan of Roku's interface or the Amazon Fire Tv. Considering the Apple tv devices start at $150, and I got this for $50, I was skeptical on what I may be losing.
So far, I love the remote in comparison to the apple tv. It's bulkier and feels like a better fit for my hand. I love the fact it has an input and power button on it, as well as a mute button.
Android TV has really been spruced up with the new Google TV changes. I enjoy the new appearance. Everything so far has worked great. Google assistant is way better than Siri, and the experience is consistent between devices. It's also way easier to use my google photos albums as the screensaver or "ambient mode" on the tv. Good luck doing this on apple tv without sharing your entire library.
My only gripes are:
1) This doesn't come in all black
2) The Netflix button on the remote isn't customizable
3) The android tv remote app syncs terribly and doesn't allow me to use my password autofill the same way apple tv does with iphone. It also fails to register keys being typed on my phone. It's been a while since I've had to use a tv remote to type in passwords. Updates can fix this though.

Google has updated their chromecast with Google TV OS. The user experience seemed a bit getting used to, but the addition of the remote and being able to use voice assistant really helps make the user experience. Having the flexibility and option to use casting from a smartphone/computer or to use the remote to search for your media is nice.

Great Google TV device. I had the original chromecast years ago and I didn't like always using the app to control it and it looked horrible compared to a Apple TV. This one looks great and if you have a 4K TV you can see how great the picture is. The OS looks good too and the remote is the game changer. For only 50 dollars, this is a steal.

I was an early adopter of Google Chromecasts but grew tired of having to use my phone as a controller and moved to Apple TV in my living room. Once this new chromecast was announced I jump on the opportunity to buy it and test it out.
Setup was easy and was complete in under 5 minutes. UI was very easy to use but sometimes it slows down. I loved the fact that I can change the "YouTube" button shortcut to go to YouTube TV since I am subscriber and that is my main TV service. Google Assistant moves very fast (almost faster than other dedicated devices).
Only gripes are with the feel and look of the remote. Feels a little cheap but cant expect too much at a $50 price point. I really wish it came in black as I can see this white remote getting dirty fast from handling it a lot
Pros:
-Easy to setup
-Shortcut buttons (YouTube TV users can change the "YouTube" button to go to YouTube TV instead!)
-Assistant is fast, seemingly faster that my other devices
Cons:
-UI is easy to use but definitely slower than my Apple TV
-Remote feels cheap but hard to complain at $50 price point
-Wish the remote came in black, I can see this getting dirty fast
Overall a great device that was a welcome change with adding a remote!

OMG! This is the device that I've been waiting for. No more looking at the live guide on my cell phone. The remote gives a great guide that leaves you feeling like you're watching "real" tv from a real service. Also, YouTube, Netflix and Amazon items are right there to watch too seamlessly.
Why is this cheaper than the previous Chromecast?

This is my second chromecast, but my first Chromcast TV. I decided to upgrade after my dad got one.
It’s super easy to use. I love that you can integrate it with the sound bar easily. The remote is easy to use and understand and I love being able to use the apps on the tv rather than casting shows from my phone or computer!!!

Great for what it is. After using both Google TV and Apple tv, I think apple tv is definitely better and runs smoother, but it's also way more expensive. If you want a cheap steamin device I would say this is the best option or there. Better than roku or Amazon for sure.

Excellent customer service from BestBuy. The Google Chromecast is easy to set up and perform as described. I am saving like $15 per month in my xfinity bill for the 2 I bought from BestBuy. Honestly, get it and stream to your TV if you don't have a smart TV. TV pictures are noticeably sharper. Good investment and a nice to have.
