    I'd rather spend $100 more and get another Nvidia Shield, but for those of you that want to give this a shot here some things you should know. - cheap remote looks nice but is very low quality, don't drop it or sit on it. I like the features of it though. - YouTube is very sluggish to populate your subscriptions - you can turn off the unit with your remote but it will never come back on from the remote power button. I actually had to put it on a Kasa smart plug so I could turn it off and turn it back on! - the first few moments you try to run any application it feels like it freezes up. For example peacock or Hulu take a very long time to show their home screens if you haven't used it in a few hours. - when it works it's not a bad user experience, it's generic for the industry so you can navigate it easily. I do this for a living (see photo) so I can say it is familiar but cumbersome if you have many apps. - don't game on it. It can't handle it still a better value than Stadia. - future upgrade may solve some problems but this version is not good.

    It is very smooth, google assistant works perfectly even for non-english languages. The IR sensor on remote is very helpful. Issues I noticed till now 1) The remote can do with some fixes, like using power button to turn on both TV and sound system would be very helpful. 2) Connecting to Apple's airpods is pain, I have to manually disconnect and connect every time. 3) Using certain app causes other apps to not work properly. All these issues seem to be software, which I think would get fixed in later update

    Very good for the price. Snappy UI most of the time but has a lag every once in a while. The remote is nice and simple but buttons are easily pressed. Overall would recommend

      Chromecast typically requires a high speed Internet connection of at least 20 Mbps and a reliable Wi-Fi network. We recommend checking if your current Internet bandwidth is possibly congested, or that it may not be enough to enable the best viewing experience with Chromecast. Removing some of your connected devices to free up some bandwidth space, and trying out Chromecast will help verify the issue.     Works well with my prism monitor. All apps works flawlessly. But not with Philips TV. I did restoration twice when attached to Philips tv but still Netflix is stattering with video and audio not synced.

    I didn't like the performance of this device. I connect to vr and it is freezin a lot. When i use for normal tv purpose, it is freezing again while moving from google tv to hbo max or other.

      Performance issues are sometimes related to connectivity issues, we suggest checking these steps below that might improve your experience:
      - Check for possible interference. Appliances like your microwave oven, refrigerator or even your neighbors Wi-Fi network may cause interference with your Chromecast.
      - Check for possible congestion. Removing some of your connected devices may help relieve some bandwidth space and you may check if your experience will improve. Once congestion is verified, contacting your provider for a possible upgrade of your connection will be your best option.
      - Ensure that your Chromecast is in a line of sight with your Wi-Fi router to get the best signal strength and Wi-Fi coverage.
      - Restart your router, mobile phone and Chromecast.

    purchased on 10-6, by 10-25 the remote had stopped working completely. BB said not returnable. Google spent 45 minutes with me wanting to upload video of putting in the batteries and pushing buttons. Waste of time. If you need to read serial # for tech support, get a 50x loop to read the super tiny print in battery compartment.

    One of the best Google (Andriod) TV for around $50. Faster than my smart TV processing power that was 2016. More useful than an Ultra Cast and without a phone.

    The interface felt very intuitive, and the voice control with Google Assistant makes searching incredibly easy. It offers access to thousands of apps, and while the storage is somewhat limited, it’s more than enough for streaming. The remote is comfortable to use and includes handy shortcut buttons. For the price, it’s absolutely worth it not just for streaming,for integrating my entire smart home and effortlessly casting anything from any app to my TV

    I bought two of these within the last one month, one for a family member one for me to upgrade the old system based on the product review, we installed it on Samsung and Insignia TV. Horrible product, it works only for two weeks then shows blurred and distorted image, every time I changed to the old system the TV works fine.

    I bought 3 of these the other seem ok but the 3rd one only worked about a month now I have this error message and can’t use it very disappointed spent $50 each abs this one is for the granddaughters room

      If you're willing, resetting Chromecast with Google TV may be helpful in fixing the issue. Keep in mind that resetting will erase all data and that you may need to reset it again. Here's how to reset it:
      With the Chromecast Voice Remote:
      - In the upper right of your TV screen, select your profile and then Settings .
      - Select System and then About and then Factory Reset.

      From the Chromecast device:
      - While the Chromecast is plugged into the TV and powered, press then hold the button on the back of the Chromecast. The LED should start to blink yellow.
      - When the LED light turns solid white, release the button, and the Chromecast should then reset.
