I would put this device above Roku sticks since it has the ability to use infrared signals to control my older TV. It also has the ability to quick start shows and movies that you're watching on Netflix, hulu, disney plus and YouTube. If that wasn't enough you can side load apps for additional use, all in all this is a superb device that I'll recommend to anyone.

The new one is way more complex and therefore more difficult to understand, but it also has more options and features, so I guess that's good. Only issue I have (other than my brain can't handle so much complexity) is that I actually have to go to the hdmi to view what I've just cast there. The previous one automatically showed the correct input as soon as I cast it. But I probably just need to get the hang of it. Just so much more to learn!

Great travel streaming device

I holds all your passwords to your streaming websites, so you don't have you don't have carry around a book of passwords. I am always afraid the Hotel system admin is pirating passwords and saying them to the highest bidder. If I don't have to manually enter them it makes that it much safer. Also it is very affordable and if I loose it I just go to Google device administrator and Delete it and you stuff is safe again.

Great little steamer

I have 6 of these around the house. The remote makes this better than the older models. Make sure you plug it into a power supply that gives it enough.
