I upgraded from the oldest Chromecast so this was a huge step up. I love the CEC on this device and how much I can change the resolution on the device. And the fact that it can connect via Bluetooth to my nest mini. The power of the voice commands really takes the cake. I can tell my nest mini to connect to my Google tv without having to go to the settings and connect manually.

I bought this for my mom because I bought her a 1080p TV to replace her old one. It works and it's easy enough to figure out, but this is the bare minimum of what you'd want to buy. Google tv products or for more money Apple TV products for streaming devices IMO.
