Google's advice was: "Buy a new one." BTW, this is NOTHING against Best Buy. Fabulous store, as always.

We’ll see how long this last but as for now it’s very quick and remote is responsive. All apps work perfect except for peacock but I think it’s with peacock and not google. Also for the price this is amazing, wait for a sale only regret is I wish I bought the 4k version

I had to get a wifi extender to boost the signal, but once I got that installed - Chromecast works great. Another remote to deal with but this one is simple.
